We’re on a mission to realign our Talent Acquisition organisation to help Wärtsilä accelerate the decarbonisation of the marine and energy industries by recruiting key talent even faster, better and bolder.

As part of this, we’re now looking for a Talent Acquisition Partner to enhance our recruitment experience. We fill around 3500 positions yearly – the direct impact we have on our business results is impressive!

As a Talent Acquisition Partner, you will focus on being a true business partner to our hiring managers across within our Talent Segment and APAC region Specifically Singapore. You’ll be responsible for understanding current and future hiring needs, translating these into proactive sourcing strategies and an efficient process for each role. You will be the single point of contact for our hiring managers from the start of recruitment to the candidate’s first day.


This is a permanent position and will be in Jakarta ( Indonesia), operating in a hybrid work model (combining remote and on‑site work).


As a Talent Acquisition Partner, you will focus on these responsibilities:

  • Owning the end-to-end recruitment cycle for all vacancies in defined countries within the APAC region Specifically Singapore, using cost-effective techniques and in accordance with company policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Partnering with the business to provide high-level expertise on the external candidate market, recruitment processes, and relevant HR guidelines.
  • Utilising direct sourcing methods and our People Narrative to attract and engage high-quality candidates while ensuring a world-class candidate experience.
  • Delivering coaching and/or training to upskill our hiring managers in recruitment and assessment.
  • Developing effective relationships with key recruitment agencies, setting KPIs, managing engagement, tracking performance, and measuring quality.
  • Participating in piloting, testing, and scaling new ways of working within your region to ensure business engagement.

What you’ll bring

  • Take pride in delivering an outstanding, end-to-end hiring manager experience.
  • Partner closely with the business to provide the best possible recruitment support.
  • Show strong drive to develop your knowledge of Wärtsilä’s functions across all levels in your assigned countries.
  • Navigate local market dynamics to understand talent drivers and what attracts candidates to Wärtsilä.
  • Bring experience recruiting for engineering functions, including developing effective sourcing strategies—ideally within the energy or marine industries.


We would also like you to have

  • Strong and versatile recruitment experience, ideally within engineering roles, in energy or marine sectors within an international environment.
  • Candidates with a strong background in technical recruitment, particularly within machining, mechanical systems, 2-stroke or 4-stroke engines, or manufacturing environments, will be considered a strong advantage.
  • Proven experience in creating proactive sourcing strategies, talent pools, and candidate engagement plans.
  • Candidates should be open to travelling on a quarterly basis for business needs, team collaboration activities, and stakeholder engagement as required.
  • Candidates with an RPO (Recruitment Process Outsourcing) background are highly welcome.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Other language skills are a plus.
