Make an Impact Behind the Scenes
Every employee's journey with the City of Raleigh generates important information that must be accurate, timely, and complete. The Talent Acquisition Operations Specialist plays an important role in making sure employee job, pay, and personnel information moves accurately from the City's recruitment and personnel systems into the City's official Human Resources Information System.
This is more than data entry.
In this role, you will review and process Personnel Action (PA) transactions generated through NEOGOV, verify information against established policies and procedures, identify discrepancies, research questions, and work with HR partners and City departments to resolve issues. You will then process accurate transactions in PeopleSoft and help ensure that employee information is correct and available to the teams and systems that depend on it.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who enjoys accuracy, organization, problem-solving, and working with systems.
This is a permanent part-time position that works 25 hours a week, five hours a day Monday – Friday.
The ideal candidate:
The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.
Education and Experience
Associate’s degree or 2 Years of College in Human Resources, Business, Public Administration, or related field; 1 to 3 years' experience in human resources support, or a related field
OR
Any equivalent combination of training and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be substituted
This May Be a Good Fit for You If...
You have experience in human resources, HR operations, payroll, compensation, HRIS, personnel records, benefits, recruiting operations, or another field where accuracy and transaction processing are important.
You do not have to know PeopleSoft or NEOGOV to be successful. Experience with PeopleSoft, NEOGOV, or another HRIS/ATS is a plus. What matters most is your ability to learn systems, understand processes, recognize errors, and consistently produce accurate work.
Why This Role Matters
A small mistake in a personnel transaction can have a much bigger impact than a single incorrect data field. Employee pay, position information, payroll processing, benefits, reporting, and other HR processes may depend on the accuracy of these transactions.
Your attention to detail helps make sure our employees' records are right the first time.
If you are someone who takes pride in getting the details right, enjoys solving problems, and wants to play an important role in the City's HR operations, we would like to hear from you.
