PPC Partners is adding a Talent Acquisition Lead in the Southeast. This role is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving recruiting efforts throughout the Southeastern United States while providing leadership, coaching, and development to Talent Acquisition team members. This position combines full-cycle recruiting responsibilities with talent acquisition strategy, stakeholder partnership, workforce planning, and process improvement initiatives.
The Talent Acquisition Lead serves as a trusted advisor to business leaders, partnering closely with hiring managers and leadership teams to attract, hire, and retain top talent across a variety of field, professional, technical, and leadership positions. This role maintains an active requisition load while helping elevate recruiting practices, team performance, and overall hiring outcomes.
The ideal candidate brings recruiting leadership experience within the electrical construction, commercial construction, industrial construction, or skilled trades industry and understands the unique challenges of attracting, hiring, and retaining talent in a project-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts for assigned requisitions, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer management, and hiring manager consultation.
- Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and development for a team of Talent Acquisition professionals supporting hiring initiatives throughout the Southeast.
- Partner with business leaders to understand workforce needs and develop recruiting strategies that support organizational growth and hiring objectives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers by providing market insights, talent trends, recruiting recommendations, and hiring best practices.
- Support workforce planning initiatives and proactively build talent pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill positions.
- Drive consistency and continuous improvement across recruiting processes, tools, reporting, and candidate experience initiatives.
- Monitor recruiting metrics and leverage data to identify opportunities, improve performance, and support decision-making.
- Collaborate with Human Resources, Marketing, and business leaders on recruitment marketing, talent attraction, and workforce initiatives.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and service excellence within the Talent Acquisition team.
- Ensure a positive candidate and hiring manager experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
- Travel throughout the Southeast approximately 10% of the time to support hiring initiatives, leadership meetings, workforce planning activities, and business partnership efforts.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience.
- 2+ years of formal people leadership experience, including direct responsibility for coaching, performance management, and development of team members.
- Direct recruiting experience supporting electrical construction, commercial construction, industrial construction, specialty contracting, or related skilled trades environments.
- Proven success recruiting for a combination of field, professional, technical, and leadership positions.
- Proven ability to influence leaders and manage stakeholder relationships across a multi-site organization.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute recruiting strategies, talent pipelines, and process improvements that support business growth.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and consulting skills.
- Ability to balance strategic priorities with hands-on recruiting responsibilities.
- Experience utilizing applicant tracking systems, sourcing tools, and recruiting analytics to drive results.
- Willingness and ability to travel throughout the Southeast approximately 10% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading recruiting teams within a multi-location construction, engineering, industrial, manufacturing, or specialty contracting organization.
- Experience supporting both field and professional recruiting functions.
- Experience with workforce planning, succession planning, and talent pipeline development.
- Familiarity with recruitment marketing, employer branding, and proactive sourcing strategies.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Leadership, or a related field.
