Summary:
The Talent Acquisition & HR Coordinator serves as the primary recruiting resource for Acme Construction Supply while providing operational support to the Human Resources team throughout the employee lifecycle. This position plays a key role in attracting top talent, delivering an exceptional candidate experience, supporting HR operations, and helping create a positive employee experience from hire through employment.
The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift quickly. This position works closely with hiring managers, HR Partners, and leadership across the organization to support Acme's continued growth while maintaining efficient and compliant HR processes.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full-cycle recruiting process for assigned positions across multiple states and business functions.
- Partner with HR and hiring managers to understand staffing needs, position requirements, and hiring priorities.
- Develop and post engaging job advertisements using appropriate recruiting platforms and sourcing strategies.
- Proactively source qualified candidates through job boards, networking, referrals, schools, community organizations, social media, and industry associations.
- Review resumes and applications, conduct initial phone screenings, and recommend qualified candidates to hiring managers.
- Coordinate candidate interviews, travel arrangements, interview schedules, and candidate communications throughout the hiring process.
- Assist HR Reps with employment offers and candidate negotiations as needed.
- Coordinate all pre-employment activities including background checks, drug testing, employment verification, and onboarding documentation.
- Maintain accurate applicant records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for recurring and future hiring needs.
- Participate in career fairs, recruiting events, community outreach, and employer branding initiatives.
- Monitor recruiting metrics and recommend improvements to recruiting strategies, sourcing methods, and the overall candidate experience.
- Provide administrative support to the Human Resources team, including maintaining employee records, personnel files, and HRIS data.
- Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding activities to ensure a positive employee experience.
- Assist with coordination of New Employee Orientation (N.E.O.), including scheduling, materials, and follow-up.
- Support HR Reps with employee relations documentation, performance management processes, policy administration, and compliance activities.
- Helps coordinate HR meetings, training sessions, and special projects as assigned.
- Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, wellness activities, and company events.
- Serve as a resource for employees by responding to routine HR inquiries and directing more complex matters to the appropriate HR Business Partner.
- Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee and company information.
- Identify opportunities to improve recruiting, onboarding, and HR administrative processes.
- Stay current on recruiting trends, employment practices, and applicable employment laws.
- Travel occasionally to Acme branch locations, career fairs, and recruiting events throughout the company's operating areas.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Two (2) or more years of recruiting, talent acquisition, human resources, or related experience.
- Experience coordinating multiple open positions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize competing demands while maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Experience supporting multi-state employers. (preferred)
- Experience recruiting for warehouse, distribution, transportation, construction, manufacturing, or industrial environments. (preferred)
- Experience with Paycom HRIS or other ATS systems. (preferred)
- SHRM-CP, PHR, AIRS, or other HR/Talent Acquisition certification. (preferred)

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
- Primarily works in an office environment with frequent computer and telephone use.
- Occasional travel to Acme branch locations, career fairs, recruiting events, and training sessions.
- May occasionally enter warehouse and distribution environments and will follow all required safety policies and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Must be able to remain stationary for extended periods while working at a computer.
- Must be able to occasionally move office materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
