Talent Acquisition & Development Coordinator
Location: Hybrid (minimum 3 days onsite) – Washington, D.C.
Compensation: $67,000 – $83,000 base salary
Additional Compensation: Full benefits package + annual bonus
Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. — no visa sponsorship
Experience Level: Junior (2–4 years of experience)
The Opportunity
HireNow Staffing is acting as a direct placement partner for a leading Am Law 50 law firm seeking a Talent Acquisition & Development Coordinator to support attorney recruiting and professional development initiatives in its Washington, D.C. office.
This role is a critical support function within the firm's talent organization, with a strong focus on campus recruiting, summer associate programming, and attorney development The coordinator will work closely with local leadership as well as global talent teams to ensure programs are executed with precision, professionalism, and consistency.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, polished, detail-oriented, and brings a stable work history within a legal or professional services environment.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition
  • Coordinate campus recruiting and summer associate programs, including interview scheduling, candidate communications, hiring committee preparation, and prospect outreach
  • Support summer associate programming, including work assignment coordination, training sessions, and firm-sponsored social events
  • Assist with new hire onboarding and orientation schedules for attorneys and legal professionals
  • Track and monitor the local recruiting budget, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting
  • Collaborate with Global Talent Acquisition team members on firmwide recruiting initiatives and programs
Talent Development
  • Coordinate local associate relations events and in-house attorney training programs
  • Partner with Global Talent Development teams to support firmwide initiatives, including coaching programs and training academies
  • Monitor associate relations and professional development budgets and assist with related reporting
Additional Responsibilities
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for special events, including occasional evening or weekend programs
  • Travel as needed to support recruiting and development initiatives
  • Assist with additional talent-related projects as assigned
Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)
These qualifications are mandatory. Candidates who do not meet all requirements will not be considered for interview.
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a legal environment (law firm experience strongly preferred)
  • Prior exposure to recruiting, campus recruiting, or attorney development
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a high level of professionalism
  • Strong command of English grammar, spelling, and attention to detail
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Evidence of resume stability and professional continuity
Preferred Qualifications (Strong Differentiators)
Candidates with the following background will be viewed as standout applicants:
  • Experience in law firm recruiting, human resources, attorney recruiting, law school career services, or talent development
  • Direct involvement with campus recruiting programs or summer associate initiatives
  • Experience coordinating training programs, events, or large-scale initiatives
  • Familiarity with legal recruiting and attorney development practices
