Assists in the hiring process for SCDOT Headquarters (HQ) using NeoGov system. Prepares advertisements and enters appropriate information into NeoGov to fill positions and close requisitions. Drafts and post job listings in NeoGov.

Assists in reviewing and screening qualifications to identify qualified candidates. Ensures candidates are properly dispositioned in NeoGov system in alignment with compliance and process standards. Refers applicants to appropriate managers in HQ. Ensures that any underutilization provided by the Agency’s Affirmative Action Officer is provided to HQ Managers with the referral of the applications.

Provides timely feedback and updates to assist candidates and managers throughout the hiring process.

Assists in the Agency’s statewide recruiting effort. Assists with consulting HQ Managers, HQ Liaisons, District staff, and employees in regard to recruitment. Participates in job fairs and hiring events to recruit talent around the state. Maintains database of all internal and external recruiting sources.

Participates in special projects and initiatives within Talent Acquisition team as assigned. Assists in the onboarding process, ensuring new hires have a smooth transition. Performs other related duties as required.

Examples of duties

A bachelor's degree and six (6) months of relevant experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence. A valid motor vehicle operator's license is required.

The physical demands for the essential functions includes sitting or standing at a desk for an extended periods and working on a computer. May be required to lift up to 30 lbs. May be required to work outside normal business hours.
