Zayo is seeking a Talent Acquisition Coordinator (Contractor) to serve as the operational engine supporting recruiters, candidates, hiring managers, and contingent workforce programs. This role ensures hiring processes move efficiently, candidates receive a high-quality experience, and recruiting teams can focus their time on attracting and selecting talent.

Our Talent Acquisition Coordinator provides critical coordination and administrative support across both employee and contractor hiring activities while helping ensure Talent Acquisition operates smoothly, efficiently, and consistently.

This role is designed as an entry point into the broader Talent ecosystem and provides exposure to recruiting, operations, workforce administration, technology, process improvement, and talent programs.

Location: Zayo headquarters - 1401 Wynkoop St, Denver, CO

Work type: Hybrid - 2-3 days/week in office
Contract Duration: 6 months with opportunity to convert to a full-time employee

1. Candidate & Interview Coordination

Coordinate candidate movement throughout the hiring process, ensuring a responsive, professional, and positive experience for candidates, hiring managers, and interview teams.

2. Contractor Hiring & Workforce Administration

Support contingent workforce hiring activities, vendor coordination, onboarding, offboarding, extensions, and workforce administration activities that enable contractor hiring and workforce visibility.

3. Recruiting Operations & Process Support

Provide operational and administrative support across Talent Acquisition processes, systems, and workflows while helping ensure recruiting activities move efficiently and accurately.

4. Team Support & Continuous Improvement

Support recruiters, leaders, and Talent programs while identifying opportunities to improve processes, reduce administrative burden, and enhance the overall effectiveness of the Talent Acquisition function.

Key Responsibilities:

Candidate & Interview Coordination

  • Schedule interviews and recruiting-related meetings.
  • Coordinate candidate communications throughout the hiring process.
  • Support offer preparation and delivery activities.
  • Manage interview logistics and scheduling activities.
  • Ensure a positive and professional candidate experience.
  • Support executive interview coordination as needed.

Contractor Hiring & Workforce Administration

  • Coordinate contractor hiring and onboarding activities.
  • Partner with staffing vendors and hiring managers throughout the contractor lifecycle.
  • Support contractor extensions, transitions, and offboarding activities.
  • Maintain contractor records and workforce tracking information.
  • Assist with contractor-related approvals, documentation, and administrative processes.
  • Support contingent workforce reporting and data accuracy efforts.

Recruiting Operations & Process Support

  • Support recruiting workflows and operational processes.
  • Review, approve and assign requisitions in Workday (ATS) to Recruiters.
  • Coordinate background checks and pre-employment activities.
  • Manage Talent Acquisition inboxes and requests.
  • Maintain recruiting records and documentation.
  • Assist with reporting, data entry, and system updates.
  • Support compliance and audit-related activities.

Team Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Provide administrative support to recruiters and recruiting leaders.
  • Assist with Talent Acquisition projects and initiatives.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve recruiting processes and candidate experiences.
  • Support adoption of new tools, technologies, and ways of working.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Qualifications:

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 (three) years of proven experience in TA coordination, operations, processes, and recruiting support
  • Experience with Workday ATS, preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Experience in recruiting, HR, operations, administration, customer support, project coordination, or related fields is helpful

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field, preferred
  • Equivalent experience considered
