We are recruiting a Talent Acquisition Coordinator to join our HR team in Peterborough.

This is a hands-on recruitment role, supporting recruitment activity across the firm and working closely with hiring managers, candidates and external recruitment partners. You will play an important role in ensuring vacancies progress efficiently through the recruitment process, whilst delivering a professional and engaging experience for candidates and managers.

The role suits someone with experience in internal recruitment, talent acquisition, or a recruitment agency environment who enjoys working in a busy environment, coordinating multiple vacancies, and supporting hiring managers throughout the recruitment process. You will need to be organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities, with strong communication skills and a focus on providing a positive experience for both candidates and hiring managers.

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator will support the day-to-day recruitment lifecycle, from vacancy approval and candidate attraction through to selection, pre-employment checks and onboarding. You will coordinate recruitment activity, source candidates through a range of channels, manage candidate and agency communication, and keep recruitment records and processes up to date. You will work closely with hiring managers and the wider HR team to keep recruitment activity moving efficiently and consistently, escalating key decisions, risks or challenges where appropriate.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in our Peterborough office.

Responsibilities of a Talent Acquisition Coordinator:

Recruitment Delivery: Coordinate recruitment campaigns across the firm, ensuring vacancies progress efficiently through the agreed process from approval to appointment, supporting hiring managers and keeping recruitment activity moving.

Candidate Attraction and Sourcing: Draft job adverts and recruitment materials, source candidates through a range of channels including job boards and LinkedIn, and support candidate attraction and employer brand activity.

Candidate and Agency Management: Manage day-to-day communication with candidates and recruitment agencies, coordinating agency engagement in line with agreed processes and ensuring a professional and responsive experience.

Recruitment Process and Manager Support: Coordinate interviews, assessments and selection activity, providing practical support to hiring managers and helping ensure recruitment processes are applied fairly and consistently.

Pre-employment and Onboarding: Coordinate pre-employment checks, documentation and onboarding activity, working with HR and other internal teams to ensure a smooth transition from recruitment through to joining the firm.

Recruitment Data and Continuous Improvement: Maintain accurate recruitment records and data, provide updates on recruitment activity and identify opportunities to improve recruitment processes, systems and candidate experience.

Skills and experience required:

  • Experience managing recruitment campaigns within an internal recruitment, talent acquisition or recruitment agency environment.
  • Experience sourcing candidates through a range of recruitment channels.
  • Experience supporting and advising hiring managers through recruitment and selection processes.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple vacancies, deadlines and priorities.
  • A proactive and practical approach, with the confidence to provide recruitment advice and challenge appropriately where required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Personable and confident, with the ability to build effective relationships with candidates, hiring managers and external recruitment partners.
  • Good attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate recruitment records.
  • Experience within professional services, legal, financial services or another regulated environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Experience using recruitment technology, applicant tracking systems and/or recruitment analytics would be beneficial.

Reward and development:

Buckles recognises the success of every employee; we work with you to ensure you have what you need to maximise your potential and develop your career.

Alongside a host of development opportunities, professionally and personally, we offer some fantastic benefits, which include (but not limited to):

  • An additional day for your birthday each year (or closest working day to your birthday).

  • Private healthcare options for you – via AXA
  • Free healthcare cash back plans for you and your family
  • Enhanced pension – 5% matched contribution by Buckles.
