DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW:

At Goodwill SWPA, we have transformed our Human Resources Department into People Services, reflecting our mission to help others through a People-First culture lens. People Services supports the actualization of Goodwill SWPA's mission by ensuring agency wide compliance with regulations our work is beholden to, at Federal, State, Local, and specific contractual levels. People Services serves as a vital resource for all agency supervisors and employees in the areas of benefits, training, recruiting, performance management, employee relations, and concerns and questions staff may have during the course of their employment.

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator is a crucial supportive pilar for the Talent Acquisition team and People Services department, responsible for ensuring the accurate completion of hiring processes such as recruitment, pre-boarding, communication and other administrative tasks relevant to the work of the team. This position monitors candidate progress through the hiring life cycle and serves as the key point of contact with hiring managers and other stakeholders regarding where candidates are in various stages of the hiring process. The Talent Acquisition Coordinator helps maintain an effective hiring process by resolving routine issues and escalating more complex issues as appropriate. This position works directly with the Talent Acquisition Specialist and reports directly to the Talent Acquisition Supervisor.

This position is best suited for recent graduates with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, as well as final-year undergraduate students in Human Resources or related disciplines who are ready to begin their careers.

Status: Regular, Full-time, Non-exempt.

Location: Workforce Development Center - 118 52nd St, Pittsburgh, PA 15201

External Hiring Range: $20/hour.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, either 8 AM to 4 PM or 9 AM to 5 PM.

Travel: Occasional travel may be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Included but not limited to:

Monitoring and Communication:

  • Monitor candidate progress through each phase of the hiring life cycle, including offers, background checks, and onboarding.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to investigate inquiries about candidate status across a multi-faceted HRIS + ATS platform, team email inbox, external background check entities, and other systems.
  • Prevent new hire stalls and candidate stagnation with consistent monitoring and appropriate actions through the hiring process.
  • Ensure applicant status is correctly dispositioned in the ATS.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for hiring managers, responding to inquiries regarding candidate progress throughout the hiring life cycle.
  • Follow up with candidates regarding missing or incomplete documentation.

Compliance:

  • Ensure completion of required background checks and clearances and verify all required employment documentation has been received prior to new hire start dates.
  • Conduct quality control for the Talent Acquisition team by tracking hiring life cycles, identifying outstanding tasks, and taking appropriate action to maintain compliance with established timelines.

Auditing and Reporting:

  • Track specific recruitment metrics to support the Talent Acquisition teams curated key performance indicators.
  • Pull data compiled during inquiry investigations to identify the root cause of delays or discrepancies.
  • Own the creation and (or) maintenance of recruitment and hiring data trackers.
  • Prepare hiring reports for the Talent Acquisition Supervisor and submit them for review in a timely manner.
  • Maintain complete and accurate records in the HRIS + ATS platform.
  • Audit requisitions and other hiring data points for accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist with special talent acquisition projects as needed.

Administrative Support:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve routine hiring issues.
  • Manage the Talent Acquisition team’s shared inbox throughout the day by evaluating incoming communications, determining appropriate ownership, and tagging messages and requests to the appropriate team members.
  • Support hiring events and recruiting initiatives as needed.

Policies and Standards:

  • Maintain a current and up-to-date understanding of and comply with all company policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Years of Experience:

  • A High School Diploma and 2 years of relevant experience. Student work experiences and internships are eligible for consideration.
  • An Associate’s degree in Human Resources or a related field and one year of relevant experience. Student work experiences and internships are eligible for consideration.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
    • A Bachelor’s degree that will be completed within a year upon hire is eligible for consideration.

Required:

  • Strong computer literacy with the aptitude to quickly learn new or unfamiliar applications and systems. Must be able to effectively utilize Microsoft Office applications, ATS, HRIS, and reporting software.
  • The ability to schedule meetings and manage digital calendars.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong typing skills.
  • Proven ability to accurately enter data and demonstrate excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills including time management.
  • The ability to prioritize multiple deadlines.
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

REQUIRED CLEARANCES, Lt ICENSES, AND CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Qualified candidates must have a valid driver's license, active insurance policy, and reliable transportation for local travel.
  • Candidates are expected to complete background checks assigned by Goodwill SWPA, including a National Criminal Background check, prior to their first day of employment.
  • Candidates are expected to provide current, valid clearances (Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Fingerprints Clearance, and PATCH) prior to their first day of employment.
