Job Description

Talent Acquisition Advisor

Talent Acquisition Advisor

Brisbane | Permanent | Full time with the potential for part time

At RPS, a Tetra Tech company, we define, design and manage projects that create shared value for our communities. We solve complex challenges through technical excellence, collaboration and innovation.

We are looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition Advisor to join our People & Culture team in Brisbane.

This is a hands-on recruitment role for someone who enjoys managing the full recruitment process and finding great people.

You will take ownership of recruitment across the business, working directly with hiring leaders to understand what they need, develop practical recruitment approaches and manage roles from initial brief through to offer and onboarding.

There is plenty of opportunity to think differently about how we attract talent. You will work with senior leaders on difficult to fill roles, provide advice on the recruitment market, develop sourcing plans and build talent pipelines. Importantly, you will also be the person making it happen by sourcing candidates, screening applications, managing recruitment processes and keeping vacancies moving.

We have a strong focus on direct sourcing and building our own talent pipelines. We are looking for someone who enjoys proactively finding candidates, building relationships and using different approaches to reach the right people.

The opportunity

No two days are likely to look quite the same. You could be sourcing for a difficult to fill technical role, helping a manager work through their recruitment approach, interviewing candidates, building a talent pipeline or looking for a better way to attract people to our business.

You will work closely with hiring managers and the broader People & Culture team across a range of disciplines and locations throughout Australia.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing recruitment from beginning to end, including advertising, screening, interviewing, candidate management, offers, background checks and onboarding
  • Proactively finding talent, through direct sourcing, networking, talent pipelines, SEEK, LinkedIn and other relevant channels
  • Working closely with hiring managers, to understand what they need, provide practical market advice and agree the best approach to filling their roles
  • Managing multiple vacancies and priorities, keeping recruitment processes moving and ensuring candidates and hiring managers have a positive experience
  • Building relationships and talent pipelines, in specialist and difficult to fill areas to support current and future recruitment needs
  • Continuing to improve how we recruit, including contributing to recruitment reporting, workforce planning, recruitment campaigns and other talent initiatives

About you

This role will suit an experienced recruiter who enjoys being close to the action.

You will have experience managing recruitment from beginning to end and be comfortable taking ownership of vacancies, proactively sourcing candidates and working directly with hiring managers.

You will enjoy having the autonomy to develop recruitment approaches and advise leaders, while being equally comfortable managing the day-to-day work required to fill roles.

You will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience managing end to end recruitment, ideally within an internal Talent Acquisition environment
  • Strong direct sourcing skills, with experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, SEEK and other approaches to find candidates
  • Confidence working directly with hiring managers, understanding their needs and providing practical recruitment and market advice
  • Strong relationship and communication skills, with the ability to build trust with candidates and stakeholders at different levels
  • The ability to manage multiple vacancies and competing priorities, while maintaining attention to detail and a positive candidate experience
  • A practical, collaborative approach, with the confidence to take ownership and look for better ways to attract and recruit talent
  • Experience recruiting within engineering, environmental consulting, planning, infrastructure or professional services would be advantageous, but is not essential.

Flexible working arrangements, with the opportunity for this position to be considered on either a full-time or part-time basis.

Why RPS?

You will join a collaborative People & Culture team and recruit across a diverse professional services business supporting teams delivering projects across Australia.

You will have genuine ownership of recruitment, direct access to hiring managers and senior leaders and the opportunity to develop different approaches to finding talent.

This is an opportunity to continue doing what you enjoy about recruitment while building your knowledge of a complex professional services business and contributing ideas about how we can recruit even better.

Ready to join us?

If you are an experienced recruiter who enjoys finding great candidates, building strong relationships with hiring managers and taking ownership of recruitment from beginning to end, we would love to hear from you.
