Talent Acquisition AdvisorThe Talent Acquisition Advisor will be based in Auckland and responsible for sourcing, attracting, selecting, and hiring top-tier talent across the ANZ region. This role will focus on general recruitment with a particular emphasis on trades roles. A key component of the role is the ability to collaborate and encourage a consistent, fair, and structured recruitment and selection process while enhancing the candidate experience. The successful candidate will need to have experience in New Zealand labour laws and hiring regulations.
Using various sourcing techniques, this role will also build talent pools and pipelines within the trades space, to ensure a cost-efficient, high-quality recruitment process that aligns with the company’s goals. This individual contributor role will also provide strategic guidance on talent attraction, recruitment strategy, compliance with pre-hire policies, and ensure the effective use of HR systems such as Workday and GEM. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Hiring: Actively supporting recruitment efforts for the ANZ market for both strategic and corporate hiring, ensuring alignment with Cushman & Wakefield’s strategic goals.
- Recruitment & Selection: Lead continuous improvement in recruitment processes to strengthen collaboration with local HR teams. Ensure effective recruitment solutions and transitions for new client accounts, meeting agreed timelines and cost constraints.
- Talent & Market Mapping: Advise business leaders on talent trends, identifying and recruiting key talent proactively. Transition recruitment efforts including reactive to strategic and pre-emptive.
- Employee Value Proposition (EVP): Collaborate with Recruitment Marketing and Communications teams to market job opportunities and consistently promote our EVP. Partner with HR to highlight career growth and retention initiatives across the region.
- HR Systems & Technology: Leverage and optimize technology platforms (e.g., Workday, GEM, LinkedIn) to streamline recruitment processes. Provide ongoing training to HR teams and business leaders on maximizing the value of these tools.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to legislative requirements and global compliance, monitoring HR systems and processes. Follow the Delegation of Authority (DOA) for employment-related activities. Ensure compliance with New Zealand labour laws, including the Employment Relations Act, Health and Safety at Work Act, and other relevant regulations.
- Reporting: Ensure accuracy in recruitment metrics, managing requisitions effectively. Place requisitions on hold or close them when hiring managers are not ready to engage.
- Financial Stewardship: Utilize cost-effective tools and vendors to deliver recruitment services efficiently.
- Other Duties: As required, take on additional tasks and responsibilities to support broader HR initiatives.
KEY SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES
- Strong knowledge of full-cycle recruiting, leveraging employer branding to attract talent and familiarity with various selection methods (e.g., interviews, assessments).
- Experience in recruiting trades and candidates – preferably within real estate, property investment, investment banking institutions or similar industries.
- Proven experience implementing recruitment strategies aligned with business needs, partnering with HR teams.
- Ability to quickly build trust and credibility with hiring managers, offering strategic recruitment insights and talent market analysis.
- Proficiency with ATS (Workday preferred) and CRM systems (GEM preferred).
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and skilled in managing multiple priorities.
- Industry knowledge of commercial real estate, construction, or property development preferred, or similar professional services environments.
- Experience managing multiple tasks and projects with competing deadlines.
- Experience with New Zealand labour laws and hiring regulations.
- Proficiency with ATS (Workday preferred) and CRM systems (GEM preferred).

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in business or human resources (preferred).
- 5-7 years of relevant talent acquisition/recruitment experience within the professional services sector or similar (RPO or in-house), with a focus on brokerage hiring or similar.
- Industry knowledge of commercial real estate or property development preferred, or similar professional services environments.
- Experience managing multiple tasks and projects with competing deadlines.
