International Ops – Tactical International Planner works within the International Trip Planning (ITP) Team.

This role focuses on completing all international trips operating within 24 hours of departure. The Tactical

International Planner will file legal flight plans, coordinate trip details with foreign handling agencies,

arrange US customs clearances, among other duties. They will utilize all available resources to fulfil his or

her duties and be able to communicate effectively with various groups within Flexjet, as well as external

groups, vendors, and agencies.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• United States based role supporting primarily Flexjet US.

• Oversee execution of all same-day and next-day international flights

• File required customs paperwork based on applicable flight rules; update/cancel clearances as

necessary

• Prepare and file safe, legal flight plans and amend as required; cancel unused flight plans to

maintain efficiency and accuracy

• Build and distribute international paperwork packets to flight crews

• Initiate handling requests for all international locations and manage subsequent updates as needed

• Perform flight following duties:

• Keep U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and international handlers informed of arrival times

• Update previously initiated items from the Strategic Team, including:

• Customs clearances, handling requests, permits, and slot reservations

• Respond swiftly to time-sensitive operational issues, delivering prompt and effective solutions

• Maintain record of completed work and update internal resources / documents as appropriate

• Report non-compliance observations for any potential safety, security, or quality issues

• Make rapid decisions concerning safety, regulations, and capability of operations

Education & Experience

• Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a 2-year college or technical school; 1-3 years of related

experience preferably in an aviation/logistics environment; or equivalent combination of education

and experience is preferred

• Flight training and/or dispatch license highly preferred


Required Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with core job competencies including, but not limited to, international operations,

aviation regulations, customs/immigration requirements and regulations, airport access

coordination, handling services, weather trends, and ATC flow is preferred.

• Thorough understanding of aircraft capabilities and factors that impact flight operations including,

but not limited to, weather, weight and balance, aircraft operating weights, and runway

characteristics

• Knowledge of FARs regarding Part 91, 135, or 121 airline operations

• Firm knowledge and able to explain aviation-related charts, diagrams, and publications related to

flight operations

• Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

• Strong communication (written and oral) skills with the ability to self-motivate, handle multiple

tasks, meet established targets, and liaise effectively with clients, authorities, and internal teams.

• Strong organizational skills and analytical skills, with the ability to manage complex flight

itineraries and documentation.

• Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and efficiently, particularly in high pressure

situations.

• Proficient in aviation-specific planning software and tools as well as Microsoft Office applications.

• Proficiency in English is required.

• Flight training experience preferred, but not required


Schedule

• Front half / back half schedule

• Early morning to evening shifts.

• Ability and willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Physical Demands

This job requires regular communication and the ability to assess conditions visually and aurally. Physical

demands include prolonged sitting, typing, and use of office equipment, as well as occasional walking,

carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping.
