Position Overview

Tarpon Specialty Services is hiring Tackers and Pipe Fitter Helpers for active industrial projects in the Walker / Baton Rouge, LA area. You'll work alongside experienced pipe fitters and welders supporting layout, fit-up, and installation of piping systems on major industrial jobsites. Key Responsibilities

• Assist pipe fitters with layout, fit-up, and assembly of piping components
• Perform basic tacking and prep work under supervision
• Cut, grind, clean, and stage materials as directed
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
• Follow all company safety policies and site-specific procedures
• Work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced industrial environment

Requirements

• Prior experience as a Tacker or Pipe Fitter Helper preferred — entry-level candidates with strong mechanical aptitude will be considered
• Basic knowledge of hand tools, grinders, and torches
• Safety-conscious, dependable, and ready to work
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Must pass a drug screen and background check
• Reliable transportation to and from the jobsite

Schedule & Pay

• Full-time — 40+ hours per week with overtime available
• Competitive pay based on experience
• Per diem available for qualified travelers
