Job Description

Responsible for the day to dayoperationandconduct of Table Gamesfor the assigned shift byfederal, state, andlocalgamingregulations, aswellascompanypolicies, procedures, andinternalcontrols

HOW YOU WILL CREATE THE EXTRAORDINARY

  • Assistsinimplementingpoliciesandproceduresandindirectingpersonnelbymanagementpoliciesandobjectivesand the efficientoperation of all table gameson a particular shift.

  • Preparesregularreportson the status of each shift includinglevel of morale, technicalskilllevels of employees, staffingrequirements, andrecommendedinstructions

  • Recommendspolicychangesaccording to procedure

  • Dealswith the difficultcircumstancesthatariseon the gamingfloorin a constructiveandbusiness-likemanner, balancing the interest of the customer, employee, andcompany

  • Endeavors to buildnewrelationshipsandcultivateexistingonesbypositively, enthusiastically, andregularlyengagingwithcustomerswhiletheyplay

  • Providesanoutstandinggamingexperienceenvironment

  • Ensuresthatall Table Gamesemployeesadhere to companypolicies, procedures, andinternal controls, aswellas Virginia Lotteryrulesandregulations

  • Communicatesclearlyandregularly the department goalsandexpectations to table gamesemployees

  • Aligns department to providedifferentiated service to SevenStarsandDiamondcustomers

  • Listens, evaluates, andresponds to allguestcomplaintsandinquiriesandexercisesgoodjudgmentinresolving the same

  • Attendsguest events; buildsrapportwithpremiumplayersandhandlesanycustomerconcernthatcannot be resolvedbysubordinateemployees

  • Investigatesreports of variancesandtakesappropriateactionbycompanyanddepartmentalpoliciesandprocedures, asnecessaryEnsuresregulatorycompliancewithallpoliciesandproceduresandmonitors the internalcontrolenvironment of the department.

  • Maintainsappropriatestaffinglevelsbyassistingin the selectionprocess of newhires, training, scheduling, disciplining, rewarding, evaluatingperformance, andrecommendingpromotionsandterminationsfairlyandequitably

  • Maintains a workingknowledge of alllocaljurisdictionalgaminglaws, liquorlaws, and table gamesregulations, aswellascompanypolicies, procedures, andinternalcontrols

  • Facilitates the flow of informationthroughout the department andpropertybyattendingregularly scheduled department meetings

  • Ensuresintegrityandsecurity of companyfundsandassetswithin the department onassignedshifts

  • Responsibleforoverall department budgets, profit andlossstatements, costanalysis, laboranalysis, planningandpromotions

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Collegedegreepreferredwithfive (5) years of progressivelymorechallenging leadership roles incasinooperations

  • Ability to understandandanalyzeBudget & P&L statementsProventimemanagementandcriticalthinkingskillsrequiredMustpossessexcellentemployeerelationsskills

  • Mustpossessstrong PC and Microsoft Office knowledge, especially Microsoft Excel.

  • Canworkin a smoke-filledenvironmentandable to sitandstandforprolongedperiods

  • Must be able to obtainandmaintain the appropriatelicensethrough the Virginia Lottery

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to workflexiblehoursincludingevenings, weekends, andholidaysasneeded

  • Must be able to speak, read, write, andunderstand English.

  • Must be able to tolerateareascontainingsecondhandsmoke

  • Ability to maintainregular, predictableattendanceaccording to schedule

  • Fast-pacedenvironment, multipletasks to be handledundertimeconstraints

  • Must be able to handle a heavybusinessvolume, andsensitivesituationsrelating to staffandguestproblems, promptly

  • Must be able to sitandstandfor long periods

  • Able to lift 40 pounds

  • Must be able to tolerateareascontainingsecondhandsmoke, highnoiselevels,bright lights, and dust.
