Dealer Academy Details: (Limited Space)
All selected candidates must successfully complete the interview process, attend the Dealer Academy information session, and have a current and up-to-date Academy registration on file. Space is limited, and participation is subject to program availability and eligibility requirements.
Classes are offered at the Tidewater Community College- Portsmouth Campus located at 120 Campus Drive, Portsmouth, VA 23701 Building A
During the program, you will have hands-on training from some of the BEST Supervisors! As Dealer Academy students you will participate in periodic skill checkpoints and complete a final audition in the last week to assess whether they meet the required skills to become a Tables Games Dealer.
Please note that acceptance into the training program does not guarantee success completion. Students are expected to develop the necessary skills and attributes for the role. Those who do not meet the program’s standards will be removed from the program.

Training & Audition:
After 8 - 10 weeks of hands-on-training, students will audition for the Table Games Leadership Team, showcasing the skills learned during the academy.
The audition will cover:
If the student passes the audition They will be transitioned into a Tables Games Dealer position at Rivers Casino Portsmouth.
If the student does not pass the audition or fails to demonstrate the required aptitude or attitude: They may explore other job opportunities within the organization.
