Systems Specialist I, Project Management Platforms

Select Medical is looking for a Systems Specialist I to join our Project Management Platform team.

We are seeking a candidate with a proven track record in supporting the successful delivery of technical solutions and services within a large organization. The Systems Specialist should have a base understanding of project management platforms along with ITIL, modern SDLC, and Agile processes.

The Systems Specialist I supports the delivery and operational excellence of Select Medical’s project management tooling ecosystem, including Smartsheet, Microsoft 365 (M365), ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), and Azure DevOps. This role partners with stakeholders and delivery teams to configure and enhance solutions that enable standardized project management and governance across the organization.

Under the direction of senior team members, the Systems Specialist I supports the full SDLC, including requirements review, configuration/development, technical documentation, testing, and deployment of enhancements. The role provides production support, researches and communicates improvement opportunities, and contributes to workflow automation and integrations across the toolchain (M365, ServiceNow SPM, Smartsheet, and Azure DevOps) to drive consistent data flow and reliable status/portfolio reporting.

This position reports to the Senior Manager, IS Business Development Services.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Support the design, development, and implementation of appropriate solutions through collaboration with business and project management tooling/platform teams, leveraging Smartsheet, M365, ServiceNow SPM, and Azure DevOps
  • Support the project management tooling ecosystem (Smartsheet, M365, ServiceNow SPM, Azure DevOps) to align with new functionality and industry best practices through research, training, and documentation
  • Support the development of workflow and reporting automation across the project management toolchain (M365, ServiceNow SPM, Smartsheet, Azure DevOps), including standardized intake/forms, approvals, notifications, and status/portfolio reporting
  • Support the development of integrations and data flows between ServiceNow SPM, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, and M365 to enable consistent work/item synchronization, status updates, and linkage to supporting documentation using standard connectors and APIs
  • Participate in team maturity by learning about and collaborating on project management and delivery capabilities such as intake and demand management, portfolio planning, roadmapping, resource/capacity planning, reporting and dashboards, and integrations, utilizing platforms such as ServiceNow SPM and Smartsheet and delivery tooling such as Azure DevOps
  • Maintain technical documentation and follow established tooling/platform standards and best practices
  • Participate in testing and troubleshooting of existing systems
  • Perform demonstrations of completed functionality and train end-users as appropriate
  • Communicate effectively with business stakeholders and other IS teams

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1+ years of experience in a large complex IT organization
  • 1+ years of development, configuration, administration, and/or user experience within project management tooling and platforms (Smartsheet, M365, ServiceNow SPM, Azure DevOps) - preferred
  • BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Project Management, or related IT discipline, or comparable work experience
  • Experience supporting production software solutions
  • Process-oriented with experience in following established standards, processes, and methodologies for IT Service Management across the enterprise.
  • Experience with implementing new technologies and writing technical documentation/standards
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a hybrid work environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to learn new technologies
  • Outstanding teamwork skills and dedication to quality customer service
  • Excellent presentation skills – preferred
  • Relevant tooling/platform certifications (e.g., Smartsheet, Microsoft 365, ServiceNow SPM, Azure DevOps) – preferred
  • Prior Healthcare experience or interest in learning the healthcare business - preferred
