Job Description

We are looking for a Systems Service Engineer to join our DSI Europe team and support the installation, service, and optimization of our advanced Thermal-Mechanical Physical Simulation systems (Gleeble).

In this role, you will work closely with customers across Europe (and occasionally globally), ensuring high system performance and delivering a high-quality service experience. The position offers a combination of hands-on technical work, customer interaction, and continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, and service systems at customer sites
  • Perform customer acceptance tests and ensure successful system handover
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve system and performance issues in the field
  • Calibrate, upgrade, and repair systems to ensure optimal functionality
  • Deliver technical training to customers, both on-site and in-house
  • Support testing activities and validate system performance
  • Maintain accurate service reports and equipment documentation
  • Contribute to the development of customer-facing documentation and process improvements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support new product or feature development
  • Continuously develop technical expertise and adapt to new technologies

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a global, technology-driven environment
  • Experience working with international teams and customers
  • Willingness to travel frequently (50%+), primarily across Europe

Technical Skills

  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to understand complex systems and wiring diagrams
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as multimeter and oscilloscope
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Valid driving license

  • Excellent communication skills in English (German is an advantage)
