We are seeking a Systems Proving Engineer to support the planning, execution, and reporting of system proving activities across field, integration, and environmental testing. You will take a hands‑on role in preparing and conducting tests, developing effective test approaches, and ensuring reliable system performance in both operational and laboratory environments.
At Frankenburg, you will join a team of leading experts building next‑generation defence systems. In this fast‑paced environment, your work will directly shape how we verify, integrate, validate, and continuously improve advanced technologies. If you enjoy systematic thinking, problem solving, and practical engineering impact — we’d love to hear from you.
System Proving Execution
Plan and support system proving activities, including test plans, procedures, equipment, and safe execution in field and lab environments.
Test Approach & Method Definition
Support defining test approaches, methods, and acceptance criteria to verify system performance and compliance.
Hands‑On Testing
Work hands‑on with hardware and software to configure, operate, troubleshoot, and validate systems during testing.
Issue Investigation & Resolution
Investigate test results, identify root causes, and collaborate with engineers to drive effective solutions.
Analysis, Reporting & Improvement
Analyse data, produce clear reports, and contribute to improving system performance and test methods.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with engineering teams and support testing, reviews, and demonstrations as needed.
Educational Background
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Experience
Experience in test, trials, integration, verification, validation, electronics, systems engineering, or similar within a complex engineering environment. Defence experience is an advantage but not essential.
Technical Skills
Hands-on experience supporting system design, integration, and validation. Comfortable working with equipment, instrumentation, and system configurations in both laboratory and field environments.
Soft Skills
Proactive and solution-oriented, with strong communication, planning, and collaboration skills. Able to take ownership, think systematically, and work independently in a fast-paced engineering environment.
Mission Alignment
Strong alignment with our mission to build affordable and mass-manufacturable defence technologies — ensuring every euro spent moves us closer to our goal.
Security Clearance
Willingness to undergo a background check as a condition of employment.
Open to Relocate
Willingness to relocate to Riga, Latvia.
Our mission is ambitious, and it takes a team that works with the same intensity.
Own the Mission: Mission first. Always.
We choose impact — we focus on what moves the mission forward fastest instead of “nice-to-haves". We fix it now — when delays or problems appear, we step up, rally the right people, and solve them immediately. We keep momentum — when time matters, we stay focused and move forward without waiting for perfect conditions.
Strive for More: Dare more. Do more. Achieve the impossible.
We challenge the status quo — we question, test, and improve instead of accepting “the usual way.” We embrace discomfort — we step outside comfort zones and turn challenges into growth. We anticipate the future — we build solutions that scale and set higher standards each time.
Build with Trust: Be open. Keep promises.
We walk the talk — what we say, we do. No excuses, no exceptions. We share openly — we communicate clearly and early, even when the news is hard. We own outcomes — we admit errors quickly, fix them, and prevent them from repeating.
Apply now! The deadline is June 19, 2025, but we review applications and reach out to qualified candidates continuously.

Frankenburg Technologies is a European defence technology company developing next-generation interceptor missiles for short-range air defence and counter-UAS. Our systems are designed to protect armed forces and critical national infrastructure from large-scale aerial threats: from wartime drone swarms to peacetime incursions near airports, energy sites, or logistics corridors.
Designed to be fast, lightweight, and mass-manufacturable, Frankenburg’s missile systems drastically lower intercept cost and complement existing layered air defence architectures. We combine modular design, containerised manufacturing, and rapid localised build cycles to enable scalable, sovereign production across Europe.
Headquartered in Tallinn with operations in Latvia, Lithuania, Denmark, Germany, Poland, the United Kingdom, and Ukraine, Frankenburg is building Europe’s next-generation missile house for the drone era.
Our mission is to equip the free world with the technologies needed to win the war.
