Job Title: Systems Project Administrator – SES Being Reclassed to Network Systems Analyst

Your Specific Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for performing technical and administrative work in the development and maintenance of computer systems and network systems of the Leon County Health Department (Leon CHD) and Capital Consortium Information Technology Regional Office.

Customer Satisfaction: The incumbent will always come to work and exhibit an attitude of friendliness and eager customer service towards all employees and act respectfully and courteously to fellow employees.

This position will require daily travel up to 75% of the time.

Provide technical customer service focused the needs of the client and the satisfaction of the customer services. Installs and implements distributed computer systems hardware, software, and communications components including enhancements and upgrades. Edits and modifies configuration files for the distributed computer operating systems software, application software, and the communications with other computers, printers, and other peripheral equipment. Monitors the use of software and hardware throughout the network and provides for on-going identification and resolution of user needs.

Act as the Network administrator for the regional infrastructure. Provide Tier II administration for all physical and virtual machines that host service essentials to the operation of the department. Provide support to voice and data network devices for phone, fax, Wi-Fi/LAN/WAN and redundant connections as well as other devices such as camera systems, security, and monitoring systems

This position participates in data processing technical work installing, implementing maintaining, and supporting multiple distributed computer systems for use by end-users including the hardware, software, and communications components of distributed systems. Conducts on-site systems reviews to evaluate user compliance to system standards and procedures. Analyzes and resolves hardware, software and communications problems using diagnostic software and/or technical trouble shooting processes

Conducts on-going support to identify methods/technical for improving the use of existing hardware, software, and documentation. Assesses the effectiveness of hardware, software and communications performance and coordinates with the analyst for improvements.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of computer environments, network wiring and cabling. Knowledge of processing operations, procedures, and problem-solving techniques. Ability to monitor and resolve problems with network. Ability to coordinate work assignments. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to motivate and instruct others on procedures, policies, and security of network

Qualifications:

Minimum.

2 years of hands-on desktop support experience supporting Windows-based workstations in a business environment.

2 years of Direct end-user interaction (in person and remote) and use of ticket-based support (incident + service requests)

Core Technical Skills

  • Operating Systems - Windows 10/11 troubleshooting, configuration, and support
  • Hardware Support - Desktop/laptop setup, diagnosis, and repair / Peripheral support (printers, scanners, docking stations)
  • Account & Access Support - Active Directory basics (password resets, unlocks, group membership)
  • Software Support - Installation, updates, and troubleshooting of standard business applications (e.g., Microsoft Office)
  • O365 Power Platform support

Basic Networking - Understanding of:

  • IP addressing (DHCP vs static)
  • Network connectivity troubleshooting (wired/wireless)
  • VPN basics

Service & Operational Skills

  • Experience working in a ticketing system
  • Ability to document issues clearly and track resolution
  • Understanding of incident vs service request
  • Ability to prioritize work based on impact and urgency
  • Basic understanding of SLA expectations (even if informal)
