Nasdaq Technology is seeking a passionate System Operation Senior Specialist focused on Linux Production Cloud Support (AWS) to join our Bangalore Technology Center in India. If you're driven by innovation, this is the place for you!

As a Senior Specialist, you'll ensure operating systems, software, and procedures comply with Nasdaq Trade Surveillance (NTS) requirements, and perform light programming for reporting, troubleshooting, and automation.

You'll join the NTS Operations Team, supporting a web-based SaaS application that powers surveillance and compliance for 170+ market participants across 200+ markets. This is a global role, collaborating closely with teams in Sydney, London, and Toronto

Your Role and Responsibilities include:

• As a Specialist, you will join our Operations team to deliver software solutions and provide rotational, shift-based production support while collaborating with global Nasdaq teams.
• Provide L2/L3 production support for Linux-based environments and applications.
• Perform deep-dive troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for application, OS, and infrastructure issues.
• Administer and troubleshoot Linux systems (CPU, memory, disk, I/O, processes, and networking).
• Proactively monitor, detect, and resolve production issues using monitoring and observability tools.
• Manage the AWS side of technology, including the creation, deletion, and troubleshooting of EC2 instances and EBS volumes.
• se Terraform to manage and maintain AWS infrastructure as code.
• Perform application deployments using Puppet, Ansible, GitLab, and Bitbucket in line with Change Management processes.
• Develop and integrate process automation tools using Bash and Python.
• Apply working knowledge of Prompt Engineering and Agentic AI concepts to enhance operational efficiency.

We expect you to have:

• Minimum of 8–10 years of hands-on experience in Linux/Unix production environments.
• Proven experience with AWS cloud technologies (EC2, Lambda, S3, Batch, and State Machines).
• Exposure to container technologies, including EKS and Kubernetes clusters
• Must have 4+ years of expert-level experience with Zabbix, Grafana, and Datadog monitoring tools.
• Should have 5+ years of mid-level experience with configuration management tools, including Puppet and Ansible.
• Strong scripting skills in Bash and Python
• 5+ years of experience with Jira and Git/Bitbucket
• Must be flexible working with rotational shifts (No graveyard shift).
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
