Location: Must live within 100 miles of Lexington, MA - Hybrid - Individual works from home or off-site for a portion of their schedule and within a routinely commutable distance from the Lexington facility. Candidate should expect to work onsite 3 days a week. The breakdown will be approximately 80/20. This may end up being some weeks more remote and some weeks more onsite; it will change with program needs.

Aquila Technology is seeking a Thermal Engineer to support one of the nation’s premier defense research organizations. The team develops and maintains analysis, simulation, control, and signal processing software, as part of its emphasis on prototyping, modeling, and field testing of high-performance sensors. The team needs a Systems Modeling, Simulation and Analysis Engineer to develop and maintain high speed data transfer and recording, signal processing, systems analysis, real-time control, and visualization software. These tools incorporate a variety of languages as well as both open-source and in-house software tools.
Work location: Hybrid - Individual works from home or off-site for a portion of their schedule and within a routinely commutable distance from the Lexington facility. Candidate should expect to work onsite 3 days a week. The breakdown will be approximately 80/20. Travel: Estimated at 5% only (domestic)
Clearance Level: Interim Clearance is sufficient for the start of this position.Interview process: Initial pre-screen with hiring manager. If candidate advances, next round of interviews will be with the Group Leaders and Technical Staff Team.
