What You Will Be Doing

Manages the integration and testing of in-house developed and COTS/GOTS components, elements, subsystems and/or systems. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Oversees the synthesis of customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints. Directs the following activities: establishing functional and technical specifications and standards, solving hardware/software interface problems, defining input/output parameters, and ensuring integration of the entire system or subsystem. Manages the development and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems. Coordinates subsystem and/or system testing activities with programs and other organizations.

As an Engineering Technology Manager (ETM), you will be responsible for the following within the MFC SGS AP/SP Line of Business:

  • Leading monthly team meetings, quarterly check-ins for career development, annual performance reviews, training plan maintenance, and program-specific mentorship
  • Assessing IT&E staff planning, inputting new requisitions, and aligning staff to meet dynamic critical needs
  • Developing missile processing procedures and schedules
  • Performing as an asset manager for the program system/subystems from initial builds to integration, then ground and flight tests
  • Guiding the team in leading the integration, testing, and evaluation of systems, including generating test plans and procedures, preparing test readiness review packages, and executing development/qualification testing
  • Supporting subcomponent and subassembly integration, the build of subassembly hardware, and the buildup, integration, verification, and validation of test equipment
  • Supporting the preparation and conduct of Test Readiness Reviews (TRR) and Pre-Ship Readiness Reviews
  • Coordinating with test ranges, providing safety information and range documentation/briefings as required

Basic Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or related Engineering discipline (M.S. preferred)
  • 8+ years of related professional engineering experience in a engineering field and/or related profressional experiences
  • Strong technical background in any of the following: Sensor integration, system integration, subsystem/component testing, DVT testing, HWIL, and producibility, or a combination of the above
  • Strong foundation in electrical, system integration, or mechanical engineering concepts; ability to teach these to others
  • Requires an active Secret (or higher) security clearance to apply to this position with ability to obtain an TOP SECRET clearance

Desired Skills

  • Experience with MFC products and development process
  • 10+ years of relevant engineering experience
  • Experience balancing technical and business objectives
  • Demonstrated capability to coordinate cross disciplinary teams for fabrication, integration, and testing of hardware and software capabilities
  • Track record of delivering compelling customer presentations that convey performance results, schedule status, and corrective actions
  • Proven ability to lead Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs) and Pre-Ship Readiness Reviews (PSRR)
  • Proven ability to lead technical development efforts on a team
  • Previous L-Code Experience Leading Teams with accountability of Technical, Cost, and Schedule Objectives.
  • Active TOP SECRET Clearance preferred

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
