Seeking an experienced DCS HMI (Human Machine Interface) Design Engineer to support projects, including:

  • Development and execution of multiple Greenfield Graphics/HMI end to end projects.
  • Honeywell Legacy Migration projects, specifically migration from TPS systems to the EPKS HMI platform
  • Third-Party DCS to Honeywell EPKS HMI migration projects
  • Honeywell EPKS Release Migration projects
  • Honeywell TPS Legacy LCN Native Window projects

Candidate should possess 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in executing similar DCS/HMI projects. The engineer must also have hands-on expertise in loading, configuring, and simulating Honeywell TPS and EPKS software databases, along with strong knowledge of Honeywell DCS HMI displays/graphics development, migration methodologies, and system testing.

Skills

  • Hands-on experience in HMI graphics/display development, validation, and testing for Honeywell TPS LCN (Native Window), GUS Display Builder, and EPKS HMI Graphics.
  • Proven experience in migrating graphics from Honeywell TPS (LCN/GUS) to Honeywell EPKS (HMI Display Builder) platforms.
  • Strong understanding of Instrumentation P&IDs, Logic and Interlock Diagrams, Cause & Effect (C&E) Diagrams, and Control Narratives.
  • Ability to develop custom dynamic shapes, object scripts (VBScript and JavaScript), and perform comprehensive database validation and testing.
  • Good knowledge of Honeywell Standard Solution Pack (SP), ASM philosophy, and basic Advanced Solution Pack functionalities.
  • Experience in executing Honeywell EPKS release migration projects.
  • Familiarity with Honeywell TPS and EPKS system configuration, installation, and commissioning.
  • Ability to load and manage TPS databases, including HG, HPM, and APM points, as well as import databases from existing TPS system “.eb” files.
  • Proficient in loading and managing EPKS databases (C200 and C300 controllers).
  • Experience in loading and configuring SCADA databases.
  • Capable of preparing project documentation, including Functional Design Specifications (FDS), Detailed Design Specifications (DDS), and FAT/SAT procedures.
  • Hands-on experience in Pre-FAT, FAT, SAT, and site commissioning activities.
  • Strong programming knowledge of VBScript and JavaScript; Python skills will be considered an added advantage.
  • Working knowledge of Honeywell SafeView.
  • Basic understanding and experience with Honeywell EPKS Orion Console and OTP configurations.
  • Knowledge and Ability to handle Honeywell HMI engineering and diagnostic tools.
  • Good knowledge and experience of MS Office.
  • Ability to effectively monitor project schedules, manage quality objectives, and coordinate deliverables with vendors.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites, with approximately 50% travel requirement.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer-facing skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.

Your role will also include overseeing, supervising, and reviewing tasks performed by team members to ensure effective execution of work; managing end-to-end processes and projects for both internal and external clients with responsibility for timely and accurate delivery; issuing clear instructions and guidance to team members on assigned tasks; and mentoring and guiding junior colleagues to support their skill development, professional growth, and overall success.
