This role oversees a dedicated team of talented systems engineers responsible for requirements management, architecture development, and requirements verification through interaction with internal and external customers and suppliers.Responsibilities:The Mechanical Systems Engineering Manager is responsible for overall requirements and interface management as well as verification planning and oversight for critical subsystems. The selected individual will lead a team of mechanical engineering focused systems engineers who:Evaluate and assess the compliance to subsystem and unit level requirements in support of system designDevelop system requirement verification methods in coordination with test, analysis, and quality teamsProduce verification artifacts demonstrating compliance to requirements in support of product deliveries, Critical Design Review, and Requirement VerificationProvide requirements traceability, interface management, and risk analysis across the subsystems and unitsCoordinate efforts between mechanical design, analysis, manufacturing, and test teams to ensure cohesive system designOversee multiple supplier requirements management and verification activitiesExpertise in one or more of the following optional areas will be useful in this position:Mentoring early career systems engineers, providing technical direction and ensuring consistent engineering rigorExperience with DOORS requirement management toolTranslating customer, program, and regulatory requirements into clear system specifications and design guidance
Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related disciplineExcellent written and oral communication as well as organizational skillsExtensive experience in systems engineering or product development roles involving complex multi disciplinary systemsFamiliarity with requirement management tools, configuration management systems, and model-based systems engineering approachesAn existing U.S. Security Clearance is preferred, the ability to obtain one is requiredHow We Care

Textron’s compensation package includes competitive base pay and provides eligible employees with benefit programs. The pay range should be used as a general guide only. Compensation is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. In compliance with the local pay transparency law, the pay range for this position is $146,500 - $224,500 per year.
