Systems Engineering is an engineering discipline focused on creating and executing an interdisciplinary process to ensure that the customer and stakeholder's needs are satisfied in a high quality, trustworthy, cost-efficient and schedule-compliant manner throughout a system's entire life cycle.
The Systems Engineering Intern will participate in system development activities in one or more Keenova medical device development projects.
Responsibilities
Assists the Systems Engineering team in project tasks. Owns the delivery of tasks assigned to them.
Works within cross-functional project teams. Uses technical and problem-solving skills to help create great products.
Understands the intent, constraints and value proposition of a given project. Aligns their activities to meet these.
Acquires expertise in existing device performance and behaviour to guide lifecycle management projects.
Executes work under Keenova’s design controls process and in compliance with the company’s quality management system.
Assesses and clearly communicates the status of their tasks.
Minimum Requirements
BS or MS degree (complete or in progress) in a scientific or engineering discipline.
Demonstrated interest in medical device development.
Prior knowledge of Systems Engineering principles preferred.
Self-starting, motivated individual who takes ownership of their tasks.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Functions well in a team environment. Gains consensus, leads, influences and ensures cross-discipline participation and feedback.
Provides fresh thinking / insights from their own experience.
