
• Deep Network Foundations: Knowledge of the OSI model, TCP/IP suite, VLAN design, UDP multicast, and ACL architecture and implementation.
• Multi‑Vendor Device Mastery: Proven hands‑on experience configuring and troubleshooting firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper), routers, and switches from both Cisco or Juniper product lines. Familiarity with network virtualization platforms VMware/ESXi) is a plus.
• Agile Delivery Experience: Demonstrated ability to work in Agile development environments, leveraging tools such as JIRA and Confluence for task tracking, sprint planning, and documentation.
• Security Certification Requirement: Possession of an IAT Level II (8140‑compliant) certification – e.g., Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc. If not already held, the candidate must obtain the certification within 60 days of start‑date.
• Clearance & Citizenship: U.S. citizenship required; Active Secret clearance required to start. Position is located in a facility requiring special access.
• Technical Leadership: Recent experience serving as a technical lead (architecture design, technical research, project management).
• Automation & Scripting Proficiency: Development or scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, Ansible, or comparable automation tools to streamline network provisioning and compliance.
• Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Exposure: Hands‑on work in network‑focused SRE functions such as automation, incident response, performance monitoring, capacity planning, metrics development, and security hardening.
• Excellent Communication: Strong written and verbal skills; capable of producing clear technical presentations, Visio/network diagrams, and collaborating effectively within high‑performing engineering teams.
• Team‑Oriented Delivery: Proven track record of building strong relationships across functional groups and consistently delivering high‑quality results on schedule.
• Security Design Knowledge: Intermediate to advanced understanding of security architectures, secure coding/configuration practices, and testing methodologies; able to synthesize findings and advise leadership on remediation.
• Critical Thinking & Problem Solving: Ability to analyze complex network issues, develop root‑cause analyses, and implement robust solutions in dynamic environments.
• Adaptability: Comfortable thriving in fast‑paced, rapidly changing projects while maintaining focus on technical excellence.
• Time Management: Demonstrated capacity to prioritize tasks, manage multiple concurrent initiatives, and meet strict project deadlines.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00
