Title: Systems Engineer (SRE)
Duties: As a Systems Engineer (SRE), you will focus on designing, developing, testing, and maintaining internal platform services, developer tooling, and automation frameworks that enable a platform-centric deployment model. You will collaborate with engineering teams to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver software solutions that optimize value delivery in a distributed systems environment. In this role, you will design, develop, test, and maintain DevOps and SRE tooling, including services, libraries, APIs, and automation frameworks that support continuous integration, deployment, observability, and operations and participate in the full software development lifecycle (requirements, design, coding, code review, testing, deployment, and support) for SRE-owned tools and platforms. This Systems Engineer will also analyze user and system requirements and work with engineers and other stakeholders to define technical designs and implementation plans for reliability-focused software solutions; implement instrumentation, logging, and metrics collection in code; analyze performance data; and deliver code-level optimizations and architectural improvements to increase system reliability and scalability; collaborate with development teams to enhance services through advanced testing strategies, including automated unit, integration, and end‑to‑end tests, and to implement release automation and deployment pipelines; and design and develop software components that support system design consulting, platform management, and capacity management. You will create sustainable, systems and services by implementing IaC, reusable automation modules, and internal developer platforms, treating them as software products.
Requirements: Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related and 3 years of experience in a systems engineer role in a large retail environment, including:
