Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking Systems Integration and Test Systems Engineer - Level 3 to support the Test & Evaluation (T&E) Integrated Product Team (IPT). The T&E IPT has whole landscape ownership of program test campaign through Initial Operational Capability (IOC). T&E IPT is accountable to ensure ground and flight test hardware is ready for test execution and post test data certification. Seeking candidate that has technical depth in systems test and evaluation with emphasis in test execution and test requirements definition traced to tactical system specifications utilized in for-score testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Requirement Definition translating high-level system requirements into actionable test plans, procedures, and test cases.

  • Lead cross-functional teams (including hardware, software, and systems engineers) in both laboratory and field environments.

  • Conduct formal technical reviews, such as Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs) or Flight Readiness Reviews (FRRs), with internal stakeholders and external customers.

  • Test Equipment Management that includes the design, development, or integration of specialized test equipment, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems.

  • Data Analysis of test data, identify anomalies, perform root cause analysis, and generate comprehensive test reports.

  • Technical and operational problem solving in order to troubleshoot complex, multi-domain system failures (hardware/software/mechanical) and conduct root cause analyses.

  • Act as the primary technical point of contact during test events, managing customer expectations and reporting results.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 5 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in STEM with 3 years of related engineering experience

  • SW/HW systems integration experience

  • Experience authoring test procedures, managing test facility interfaces, and ensuring data integrity and cataloging

  • Experience with test leadership as acting test conductor leading a test team, system integration, and hands-on, end-to-end testing accountability.

  • Demonstrated capability to coordinate cross disciplinary teams for fabrication, integration, and testing of flight hardware

  • Must have the ability to obtain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance

  • This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in IR, RF, and Electro-optical systems is a plus

  • Hardware Knowledge expertise in test equipment utilization, Interface Test Adapters (ITA), data acquisition systems (DAQ), power supplies, and signal generators.

  • Strategy & Analysis experience in defining test methodologies, performing 6DOF analysis, and supporting pre/post-flight test data reviews.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple, shifting priorities while maintaining safety standards.

  • Experience working in an Agile framework and team environment. Ability to work with multi discipline team and a dynamic work environment.

Primary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
