Within the Charlie Portfolio of Space Security, we are seeking a highly skilled, motivated, and experienced Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. As part of an Agile team, you will act as the primary liaison between users and the development teams, driving the end‑to‑end definition, design, and verification of mission‑critical systems. You will translate stakeholder needs into features, shape the system architecture, manage technical risk, and ensure that the final product meets all performance and functional requirements. You will working closely with cross‑functional software teams to design and execute comprehensive test plans, test procedures, and analyze results to ensure compliance with customer requirements.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop, document, and maintain test cases; track progress using modern test‑management tools.
• Validate that features meet customer objectives and system specifications.
• Support the successful execution of program milestones and deliverables.
• Analyze test results, identify gaps, and drive corrective actions.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand‑ups, retrospectives) and collaborate with developers, product owners, and SMEs.

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that perform IT responsibilities, use E646, Systems Engr-IT.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience performing systems integration and test engineering
• Experience with test plan/procedure preparation and test execution
• Experience defining tests required to satisfy feature acceptance criteria
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD deployment pipelines, configuration tools, and deploying applications to test environments
• Experience working in Agile teams leveraging Scrum and/or understanding of Agile concepts
• Experience with Agile management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Zephyr, etc.
• Active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance

Desired Skills

• Experience with Integration testing, System testing, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and independent verification and validation as well as operational system checkout.
• Experience with satellite ground systems
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD Pipelines, and deploying applications to test environments
• Experience with LM’s products Horizon and Conductor applications
• Experience establishing and implementing technical requirements
• Experience supporting program milestones and technical design reviews such as Quarterly Interim Design Reviews (IDR)
• Experience with modern engineering practices such as Cross-Functional Agile teams and Capability-based planning
• Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $79300.00 - $147300.00
