The Role

Support and where required drive the elicitation of operational needs and requirements work to support the introduction of the modernised COMSEC systems.

Provide engineering and advice to support the development of Operational Concept Documents (OCDs).

Provide input into and Support the review of engineering artefacts, including but not limited to Engineering Management Plans, requirements documents, Test and Evaluation Plans.

Support the technical certification and planning for the introduction of the modernised COMSEC systems.

Liaise with industry Original Equipment Manufacturers to understand technical requirements and capability implications;

Review CASG engineering artefacts.

Provide engineering advice and guidance to the CASG project team to support activities as required to support the Risk Reduction and Requirements Setting phase of the One Defence Capability System.

Provide assistance to the Joint Communications team to support operational outcomes and uplift of COMSEC Modernisation.

About You

Experience undertaking capability development.

It is desirable that candidates have a demonstrated record of working within the Defence portfolio delivering Defence capability projects through the One Defence Capability System (ODCS).

Experience in communications security and network engineering.

It is desirable that candidates are familiar with COMSEC as a capability and/or have experience in Command, Control, Communications, and Computers; Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) projects within Defence.

A qualification in Engineering.

Demonstrated ability to engage and maintain relationships with stakeholders internally and externally.

Experience in engineering and technical processes and procedures.
