The Opportunity:

This position is for a Systems Engineer - Integration & Test in either Aurora, CO; King of Prussia, PA; or Colorado Springs, CO. You will be working closely with a talented team to deliver a complex software application into operations. You will play a critical role in the test and integration of software systems in an Agile software development context.

Responsibilities:

Execute and maintain system-level integration and test procedures for agile software builds, including dry-runs, build verification testing, and run-for-record executions

Perform software integration activities including environment setup, configuration management, interface verification, and troubleshooting of system-level issues

Analyze test results to verify requirements compliance, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams on root-cause analysis and resolution

Support Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs) and Test Review Boards (TRBs) by preparing test reports, documenting results, and presenting discrepancy analyses

Develop and maintain integration and test documentation including test plans, test cases, interface specifications, and configuration procedures

Collaborate with software developers, DevOps, and systems engineering teams to ensure testability, integration readiness, and requirements verification

Support continuous integration/continuous testing (CI/CT) processes and participate in automation initiatives to improve test efficiency

Follow established test processes, configuration management practices, and quality standards while recommending improvements to integration and test workflows

Qualifications:

Required:

Active TS/SCI clearance

Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related engineering discipline

Minimum 3+ years of systems engineering experience with at least 1-2 years in integration and test activities

Demonstrated experience executing software integration and test procedures, including test planning, execution, data analysis, and results documentation

Experience with configuration management, version control systems, and software build processes

Proficiency with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or similar)

Experience analyzing test results, performing troubleshooting, and supporting root-cause analysis of system-level issues

Knowledge of requirements management, traceability, and verification methods

Strong collaboration and communication skills with ability to work effectively across software development, DevOps, and systems engineering teams

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and familiarity with DevOps practices

Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in fast-paced development environments

Desired:

Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automated test development

Proficiency with Linux operating systems and command line environments

Experience with automated test and integration frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, PyTest, Robot Framework)

Knowledge of networking fundamentals, protocols, and interface testing (TCP/IP, REST APIs, message buses)

Experience troubleshooting complex, multi-component software systems and analyzing system-level integration issues

Experience working with software-defined interfaces using XML, JSON, or similar data formats

Familiarity with cloud architectures, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and virtualized test environments

Experience with government testing processes including Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) procedures

CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent security certification (if DoD/cleared work)

Experience with SysML and MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo Systems Modeler) for requirements and test traceability

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. Since this position can be worked in more than one location, the range shown is the national average for the position.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$69,100-$141,500
