OneOncology is positioning community oncologists to drive the future of medical care through a patient-centric, physician-driven, and technology-powered model to help improve the lives of everyone living with cancer and other diseases. Our team is bringing together leaders to the market place to help drive OneOncology’s mission and vision.

Why join us? This is an exciting time to join OneOncology. Our values-driven culture reflects our startup enthusiasm supported by industry leaders in oncology, urology, technology, and finance. We are looking for talented and highly-motivated individuals who demonstrate a natural desire to improve and build new processes that support the meaningful work of independent physicians and the patients they serve.

Job Description:

OneOncology's IT Operations team is the engine that keeps the infrastructure, identity, and management platform running for every OneOncology practice. IT Operations owns proactive monitoring, patching, backup, identity governance, network engineering, and Tier 3 escalation across the enterprise.

The Systems Engineer III is a principal engineer setting technical direction across the systems domain — server infrastructure, virtualization, backup, cloud, identity, and Citrix end-user computing (EUC). The role acts as architect of the Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environment and final technical authority for complex systems operational decisions and long-horizon planning. The ideal candidate brings enterprise systems architecture skills, deep expertise across multiple systems specialties, and strong executive-facing communication.

This is a full-time remote position. Candidates located in the Nashville, TN area are expected to work in a hybrid capacity from our corporate headquarters.

Responsibilities:

  • Own long-horizon systems domain roadmap alongside the IT Architect.
  • Lead resolution of the most complex systems operational issues as the Tier 3 escalation point, including root cause analysis and permanent remediation.
  • Architect, engineer, and optimize the Citrix environment — Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD/DaaS), Citrix ADC (NetScaler), StoreFront/Workspace, and MCS/PVS provisioning — including image lifecycle management, session performance, and capacity planning.
  • Design and drive automation of systems provisioning, patching, and configuration using PowerShell and infrastructure-as-code approaches.
  • Define systems hardening, backup, and disaster recovery standards, including DR validation testing, in support of HIPAA and HITRUST requirements.
  • Represent OO IT in strategic vendor discussions for systems platforms and cloud services.
  • Establish and enforce systems standards across all managed practices.
  • Mentor the systems engineering bench across Administrators and Engineers.
  • Advise IT leadership on long-term systems technology direction and roadmap.
  • Partner with Projects on precedent-setting systems deliveries and standards evolution.
  • Coordinate closely with the Network Engineer III on integrated solutions spanning systems and network.
  • Participate in on-call rotation.
  • Occasional travel to practice sites, if needed.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned to help drive our mission of improving the lives of everyone living with cancer.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 10 or more years of progressive systems engineering experience including MSP or multi-site healthcare scale.
  • Healthcare related experience strongly preferred.
  • Expert-level certifications strongly preferred (Citrix CCE-V or CCP-V, VCAP/VCDX, AZ-305, or Okta Certified Consultant).
  • Experience with the following is a plus: VMware/vSphere, Microsoft Azure, Okta, Veeam, Microsoft 365, ServiceNow, and Citrix Analytics/Director for performance monitoring.

Essential Competencies:

  • Enterprise systems architecture skills across compute, virtualization, backup, cloud, and identity.
  • Architect-level Citrix expertise: CVAD/DaaS design and administration, Citrix ADC (NetScaler) including Gateway and load balancing, profile management (FSLogix/Citrix Profile Management), MCS/PVS image management, and advanced session performance troubleshooting.
  • Expert-level Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy engineering.
  • Advanced scripting and automation skills; PowerShell required, infrastructure-as-code experience a plus.
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA and HITRUST requirements as they apply to systems infrastructure.
  • Deep expertise across multiple systems specialties with a principal specialty.
  • Executive-facing communication skills.
  • Strong influence without authority across leadership and peer teams.
  • Working understanding of networking sufficient to guide integrated enterprise architecture.
  • Attendance is an essential job function.
