Position Type: Full TimeKonami Gaming is looking for a Systems Engineer I to join our team!
This position is responsible for providing enterprise network and server support. Responsibilities include all aspects of installing, maintaining, repairing and diagnosing network, server/disk array and software issues. This position also requires flexibility to always act autonomously while adhering to overall department and company policies and procedures.
What you'll be doing
- Install, maintain, repair, and diagnose software and network issues.
- Prepare detailed network specifications, including diagrams, charts, equipment configurations and recommended technologies.
- Analyze project objectives as specified by engineering and support departments.
- Develop network related documentation.
- Develop conceptual, logical or physical network designs
- Design and consulting with new and existing customers on server room, network configuration and security pre-during and post system installation.
- Perform troubleshooting analysis of switches, routers, firewalls and other network associated systems.
- Confer with engineering staff and consult specifications to evaluate the interface between hardware and software and operational/performance requirements of the overall system.
- Coordinate with customers to attain and review feedback regarding network stability and reliability reports.
- Create and maintain solid customer relationships.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Relative associate or bachelor’s degree, certification from an accredited institution, or equivalent work experience.
- 1+ years of extensive operating system and network infrastructure maintenance.
- Ability to communicate professionally and efficiently, both verbal and written with all levels of the business.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Gaming licensure(s).
- Experience with Linux.
- Experience with Cisco switches and other networking hardware.
- Experience with configuring and administering local area networks.
- Experience with Wireless networks (802.11).
- Some experience with Firewalls.
- Experience with Virtual Machines and software containers.
- A high degree of analytical thinking and problem-solving.
- Excellent organizational skills and an extremely high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience in Casino Management Systems and an understanding of technology requirements / constraints / approaches will be highly regarded.
Additional Requirements
- Minimal travel necessary. 0-10%, or as business requires. Employee must be flexible to the travel needs of the business. Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Work Environment
- Full-time / 40+ hours per week. Must be flexible to work overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Must be comfortable working in an area with limited working space for long hours with the ability to remain seated at computer terminal for extended periods of time. Extreme repetitive motion using keyboard, mouse, and telephone. Must be able to work at assigned location to enable direct communications and interactions with team members, management, and others as necessary, unless traveling for a business-related purpose.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a high-stress, fast-paced, and high-pressure environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy, paying attention to detail, and meeting assigned deadlines. Demonstrates high integrity, trust, and strict confidentiality. Ability to maintain excellent communication and a positive, respectful, and professional attitude and relationship with clients, employees, peers, co-workers, all levels of management, and all outside organizations conducting business or otherwise interacting with the company. Ability to always act autonomously while adhering to overall department and company policies and procedures.
- Position shall work primarily in a smoke free office environment. The noise level is low to moderate. Position shall maintain a cubicle or office in close proximity to other cubicles and offices.
- Position may be required to attend trips to casinos, tradeshows, or as needed. Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality. Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke.
