The Role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing Technical Expertise for Project Implementation, supporting the Project Manager and Technical Lead, ensuring successful completion of project on time, on budget and with quality standards and best practices. The System Engineer supports multiple projects and may not be dedicated to a project
depending on the needs of the project.

Your Responsibilities:

Project Implementation

  • Engage customers for technical requirements understanding low level design requirements.
  • Review and validate technical soundness and completeness of proposed solution to customer. Act as 2nd level of quality check for the technical engineering deliverable of the project.
  • Consult Pre-sales and Engineering Services team for proper understanding of design specifications to be delivered.
  • Determine project specification and provide information to Pre-sales & Engineering Services Team should there be need to revise technical designs and other technical documents that has emerged during implementation. Recommend solutions if necessary.
  • Coordinate with Pre-sales & Engineering Services Team to ensure that implementation is according to the final plan, including revisions that are approved by customer.
  • Support the Project Manager to address technical specification requirements, issues, and provide solutions to technical issues.
  • Explain technical issues, solutions, and strategy to customers and project team.
  • Document changes to the design to be part of as-built and change request process.
  • Prepares technical impact analysis as well as commercial impact for changes and provide recommendations to Project Manager and/or Project Coordinator.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of supplied equipment to be delivered to customer premises prior to installation.
  • Execute technical engineering plans and ensure technical requirements and specifications of the project are delivered and met.
  • Support Project Manager and/or Project Coordinator for technical implementation, coordination, and management (subcontractors, customers, other stakeholders).
  • Report to Project Manager for progress of technical deliverable and ensure technical deliverable are provided/delivered on time.
  • Analyze project requirements and be able to develop process or implementation strategy together with Project Manager and/or Project Coordinator.
  • Provide necessary documentation to subcontractors/partners for proper implementation.
  • Ensures quality of performance from partners/subcontractors and adhere to company standards.
  • Undertake project task as required; provide administrative support as needed.
  • Avoids unplanned costs and customer escalations during Project Implementation phase resulting from deficient technical design in the proposed solution
Technical Support & Competency
  • Provide technical support to subcontractors and recommend sound solution to issues.
  • Build customer trust through technical soundness and accuracy of proposed solution.
  • Proactively identifies any deficiencies in current implementations that can potentially grow ongoing project installations or create new business opportunities.
  • Provide support for the Engineering Services Team and Operation and Maintenance Team when necessary.
  • Contributes to Pre-sales and Engineering Services tender process in areas of expertise if necessary.
  • Ensures its own and Engineers’ Technical competency through self-help and/or identifying with its Supervisor/Manager the relevant training required.
Documentation
  • Prepares technical documents, i.e., Delivery Order, MOPs (hot-swaps, migrations, integration, power tapping/un-tapping, and License/Function activation),
  • Migration, Acceptance documentation and other documentations necessary to proceed with project implementation.
  • Responsible to ensure accuracy and completeness of as-built documentation are prepared and archived for handovers to Operation & Maintenance group.
  • Ensues accuracy and completeness and timely submission of technical documentation by partners/subcontractors.
  • Provide Project Admin/Documentation team necessary documents for closing of deliverable, phase, and/or project.
  • Works with Project Admin/Documentation for proper consolidation of project documents.
  • Maintains projects documents aligned to ISO 9001 certification compliance and ISO 9001 processes

What We're Looking For:

  • Solid understanding of enterprise networking, including TCP/IP, VLANs, Layer
  • At least 2 years of work experience with an IT or ICT or Telco and business/industry work experience.
  • Layer 3 switching(MPLS-TP, QoS,RSTP, ERPS, OSPF, and BGP.)
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco and/or Juniper network devices, including configuration and troubleshooting.(Juniper or Cisco certifications preferred)
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity solutions such as firewalls, VPNs, NAC, and SIEM.
  • Familiarity with Windows/Linux server environments, virtualization, and Network Management Systems (NMS).
  • Experience in system integration, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), System Integration Testing (SIT/FSIT), or commissioning activities.
  • Ability to read and understand technical specifications, interface documents, and network diagrams.
  • Knowledge of fiber optic communication systems and basic network testing tools (e.g., Ethernet Tester, OTDR, optical power meter).
  • Capable of troubleshooting complex issues across multiple systems and coordinating with different technical disciplines
  • Knowledge of Master Clock (GNSS, NTP)
