You will be a Systems Engineer - Level 2 for the F-35 Sustainment Optimization and Supportability Analysis (SOSA) Team. In this role, you will formulate and present Business Case Analyses (BCA’s) supporting multiple value streams, including but not limited to:

  • Organizational Maintenance Optimization (OMO)
  • Reliability & Maintainability Improvement Projects (RMIP)
  • LM Affordability Program Management Office

What You Will Be Doing

The execution of the SOSA process includes generating, prioritizing, evaluating, and recommending candidate F-35 Sustainment improvement projects with the potential to improve sustainment operational support capability, availability, and affordability in support of overarching F-35 Program objectives. The Sustainment BCA process requires coordination across all Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements to obtain data and forecast impacts of sustainment improvement candidates throughout the life cycle of the F-35 program. The BCA’s measure both cost and technical impacts (e.g. AVA, MC, etc.) and are presented to both internal and external stakeholders. This position reports to the F-35 Maintenance Optimization Manager.

Responsibilities to include but not limited to:

  • Evaluate sustainment improvement project candidates for potential affordability and readiness impacts
  • Act as a team member in an agile scrum environment consisting of 5-10 team members
  • Participate in internal BCA team reviews to ensure output accuracy and quality
  • Assist in implementation of BCA improvements and new data module requests
  • Participate in regular alignments with organizational leadership and value stream participants
  • Provide high-quality written and oral communication to internal as well as external stakeholders

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, or Business disciplines from an accredited college, or equivalent combination of sustainment maintenance experience and relevant education
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated experience with problem-solving, root‑cause analysis, and/or product sustainment lifecycles

Desired Skills

  • F-35 or other 5th generation aircraft sustainment experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • JIRA and Agile methodology
  • Proficient with Data Visualization Tools (Tableau)
  • This position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
