Overall Objectives
The System Engineer- System Administrator is responsible for architecting, securing, and maintaining the technology infrastructure of the organization for the assigned area of responsibility. Particularly system wide Microsoft domain server and endpoint infrastructure, virtual infrastructure, storage area networks, backup systems, network client configurations, system and account security, public key infrastructure, virtual desktop infrastructure, virtual application infrastructure, load balancers, Microsoft 365 services, Azure services.
Collaborates with Information Services other Independence Health System staff on joint projects ensuring timely delivery of high-quality systems. Operates as support escalation for the frontline IT operations team. Creates and maintains appropriate documentation for area of responsibility. Strengthens organizational security posture by employing InfoSec best practices.
