Job Description
Infrastructure Operations & Administration
- VMware vSphere/ESXi, design, deploy, configuration, and lifecycle management
- Nutanix HCI administration, Prism Central, AHV and AOS, design, deploy, configure and lifecycle management
- NetApp, HPE Alletra, or Pure Storage SAN/NAS provisioning and support
Windows & Linux Administration
- Windows Server administration, hardening, patching, and Group Policy management across enterprise environments
- RHEL/Ubuntu and Rocky server administration, shell scripting, service management, and security baselines
- Automated Software deployment, patch compliance, and configuration management across hybrid fleets
Automation & Scripting
- PowerShell, Bash, and Python pipeline development; automate-first mindset applied to every task
- Terraform and Ansible for IaC; version-controlled, repeatable infrastructure provisioning
- Infrastructure drift detection and automated remediation
- Proactively identify and eliminate manual, repetitive operational work through automation
AI-Assisted Engineering
- Leverage GitHub Copilot and Claude daily for code generation, documentation, and troubleshooting
- Monitor emerging AIOps tools and submit adoption proposals to improve observability and response
- Use AI-assisted tooling to produce and maintain accurate runbooks and operational documentation
Additional Responsibilities
- Identity & Networking: Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP; Entra ID hybrid identity; VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, routing
- Container design, deploy and administer: Kubernetes and Docker
- Citrix: Citrix DaaS, Cloud Connectors; NetScaler (ADC) load balancing and Gateway policies
- Backup & DR Support: Veeam ONE and VBR operations; RPO/RTO validation; DR failover testing; recovery runbooks
- Observability: Nagios, Grafana monitoring and reporting; incident response
- Documentation & Handoff: LLD docs, operational runbooks, and handoff packages for every delivered solution
