As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, managing, and maintaining a robust IT infrastructure across both on-premise data centres and cloud environments. You will play a critical role in ensuring system security, scalability, and reliability while leveraging automation and best practices to streamline operations.
With expertise in Microsoft Sentinel, Intune, Azure, and Cisco networking, you will lead infrastructure projects, troubleshoot complex system issues, and work closely with outsourced partners to uphold AnywhereNow’s high standards. Key Responsibilities
• Architect, manage, and maintain both on-premise data centres and cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and scalability
• Administer and configure security tools including Microsoft Sentinel, ensuring comprehensive monitoring, detection, and response capabilities
• Lead the deployment, management, and troubleshooting of Modern Desktop Configuration (MDC) environments, leveraging Microsoft Intune for seamless device management and application deployment
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco switches, routers, and general network infrastructure to ensure secure and efficient connectivity across the organisation
• Automate complex system administration tasks using advanced scripting (PowerShell), streamlining processes such as user onboarding, offboarding, system deployments, and configurations
• Deploy and manage Windows-based environments, including server infrastructure, through Intune, ensuring compliance with best practices and company policies
• Lead and participate in infrastructure projects, including migrations, upgrades, and the introduction of new technologies and methodologies
• Coordinate closely with outsourced partners, ensuring deliverables align with AnywhereNow’s high standards and strategic objectives
What We’re Looking For
• Minimum 7 years of experience as a Senior Systems Engineer or similar role
• Advanced expertise in managing and configuring on-premise data centres and cloud services (Azure)
• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Security, and threat management
• Proven proficiency with Microsoft Intune and Azure AD for desktop and mobile device management, application deployment, and policy enforcement
• Expert-level knowledge in Cisco networking technologies, including advanced routing and switching protocols
• Extensive scripting and automation experience using PowerShell
• Significant experience managing and optimising Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Hyper-V, VMware, and SQL Server environments
• Demonstrated success in complex infrastructure migrations and building robust functional environments from the ground up
