MANTECH is seeking a motivated, customer-oriented Systems Engineer to help support our current Marine Corps Contract in Stafford, VA This work is dedicated program management support for all General Purpose Tools and Test Systems (GPTTS) programs and dedicated program management support for Calibration and Maintenance Program (CAMP).
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Support engineering activities and programmatic milestones through the development and review of engineering documentation (System Engineering Plans, Test and Evaluation Master Plans, Interface Control Documents, System Specifications, etc.) and requirements
documentation, system engineering technical review (SETR) briefing materials, configuration management activities and program schedules.
Provide technical support, coordination, and recommendations to the Government Project Office using general systems engineering, system design, system development life cycle principles and/or requirements analysis.
Knowledge of detailed technical studies, conducting analysis of current and future requirements relating to design, all phases of testing and fielding, and mission effectiveness.
Support and participate in systems engineering technical reviews (systems requirements review, preliminary and critical design reviews, integration readiness review, and system acceptance review) through documentation preparation, review of criteria, and preparation of briefing material.
Provide Configuration Management support by participating in meetings (Engineering Review Board / Configuration Control Board), generating CM Plans, generating Engineering Change Proposals, and completing assigned action items as assigned by the government technical lead. As required, update or develop software patch management plans.
Provide Environmental Safety and Occupational Health (ESOH) support as designated by the government technical leads.
Interface with the Program Office to manage engineering tasking, provide subject matter expertise in acquisition engineering best practices, and analyze technical problems; develop courses of action and present recommendations to leadership on solutions.
Must have the ability to travel up to 10%.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree and at least 7 years of related experience, or a Bachelor’s degree and at least 9 years of related experience supporting DoD programs that rely on the Integrated Defense AT&L Lifecycle Management Framework.
Knowledge of systems development lifecycle, systems design and implementation.
Extensive knowledge with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior Military experience (enlisted or officer)
Knowledge of DoD / USMC garrison and tactical environments.
DAU Engineering Level I or higher certification
Clearance Required:
Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance
Physical Requirements:
Sedentary Work.
