We are seeking a Systems Engineer 3 to be a part of our Information Technology team at SOM. Reporting to the Associate Director of Infrastructure Services, this engineer will be responsible for designing, managing, and optimizing enterprise IT infrastructure across cloud and virtualized environments. Key functions include maintaining storage and virtualization platforms, ensuring system availability and disaster recovery readiness, and managing infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Packer.
The position also focuses on automation, security, and operational support. Responsibilities include automating deployments and configuration with Ansible, managing secrets and access controls, administering Windows and Linux systems, maintaining monitoring and logging systems, supporting infrastructure incidents, documenting processes and system architecture, and may lead and direct the work of others.

Principal Responsibilities
1. Develop or modify moderately complex software programming applications from specifications.
2. Monitor, support, and troubleshoot IT infrastructure, ensuring adherence to standards and service level objectives.
3. Analyze and prepare reports on performance metrics.
4. Implement and support robust and secure IT solution.
5. Draw on relationship and technical skills to act as technical liaison to internal and external stakeholders.
6. Serve as a technical liaison; support & collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
7. Contribute to development & implementation of best practices.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree and four years of experience or equivalent education and experience.
