The Defense Systems Group (DSG) provides analysis-based decision support to senior leaders on space architectures, policy and strategy, development planning, system of systems engineering, and threat reduction to help shape the future space missions across the national security space (NSS) enterprise. DSG is unique at Aerospace as it not only directly supports major customers, including US Space Force, U.S Space Command, Air Force Materiel Command, and senior leadership at the Pentagon, but also provides a broad range of services and support across the national space enterprise, maintaining vertical responsibilities with customers but also horizontal, matrixed responsibilities across the corporation. DSG alsoassiststhe Space Force Space Systems Command (SSC) in the conception, design, acquisition,launchand operations of satellite, launch vehicle, ground control, and range systems.
As the SystemsDirectorof the Sensors and Intelligence Integration Department, you will lead a team thatperforms analyses of enterprise performance, identifies key risks, issues, and gaps in space-enabled mission threads, and influences decision makers at all levels of the Space Systems Integration Office (SSIO) and the broader national security spaceenterpriseYour team will collaborate closely with other departments in theSpace Architecture and Integration Division (SAID)of DSGas well aswith partners from acrossSSC, NRO, MDA,and the operational communitytogenerateanalytically groundedenterprise-level policy, acquisition, and execution recommendations that maximally enable national security space missions and capabilities.
The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility in El Segundo, CA.

Surveyingprocesses, products, and data flows,identifyinghigh-information nodes,andresolvingfriction pointsto improveconnectivity, resilience, and speed ofdepartment processes and products
Engagingacrossprogram offices and technical functionstoidentifycomplex problems,communicate challenges, and coordinate products and solutions
Developingandmanagingrelationships with internal and external customers and contractorstomaintainand enhance the department’s impact, visibility, and reputation
Managingdepartment functions including hiring staff, aligning tasks with skillsets and growth areas, enforcing corporate policies and practices, conducting performance appraisals,reportingsignificant progressand challenges to leadership,and recognizing outstanding performance and growth

What You Need to be Successful
MinimumRequirements Systems Director - Enterprise Systems Engineering:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program inengineering,science,mathematics,or anequivalent technical field
Tenor more years of experience inarchitecture, design,acquisition,test, integration, and/or operation of space systems
Proven ability toestablishand maintain effective working relationships with all levels of contractors, customers, and corporate staff
Experience withAerospaceand government customerorganizational structure, leadership, and technical points of contact
Proven ability todevelop sustainable processes and deliver impactful outcomes in a fast-paced and sometimesambiguous environment
Willing to travelup to approximately15% time
Activetop secret with sensitive compartmented information (TS/SCI) security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government; U.S. citizenship isrequiredto obtain a security clearance
How You Can Stand Out
It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:
Master’s or PhD degreefrom an accredited program inengineering, science, mathematics, or an equivalent technical field
5+ years of progressive management experience leadingteamsthatdeliver impactful technical outcomes inspace systems-relateddisciplines
Prior experienceleadingorganizationsrequiringcoordination across disciplines and/or matrixed technical support
PriorAerospace management experience
Active top secret security clearance with SCI and SAP accesses

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
