CHOP does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, national origin, religion, or any other legally protected categories in any employment, training, or vendor decisions or programs. CHOP recognizes the critical importance of a workforce rich in varied backgrounds and experiences and engages in ongoing efforts to achieve that through equally varied and non-discriminatory means.
The operating and business models that have served healthcare systems well for many years are showing signs of strain. Demand for services outstripping supply, predicted shortages of healthcare workers, rising rates of burnout, and shrinking operating margins are forcing healthcare systems to rethink how they organize and deliver healthcare. The Systems Design Strategist applies design thinking principles and human-centered design methods to coach multi-disciplinary teams in transforming the way that healthcare is delivered to children at CHOP, including how new digital technologies are used to increase efficiency and effectiveness, how teams are structured to deliver high-value care, and how workflows are organized to promote safety, quality, and excellent experiences for patients, families, and healthcare providers.
The Systems Design Strategist has the expertise and experience to facilitate innovation projects using design thinking skills, to guide teams in the development and implementation of innovative solutions, to manage innovation projects from ideation to implementation, and to collaborate with key stakeholders including healthcare professionals, patients, families, and community partners to gather insights and co-create solutions.
To carry out its mission, CHOP is committed to supporting the health of our patients, families, workforce, and global community. As a condition of employment, CHOP employees who work in patient care buildings or who have patient facing responsibilities must receive an annual influenza vaccine. Learn more.
