Job Description

Leidos is seeking a Systems Architect to support an enterprise IT program.

The Systems Architect should have experience providing support to a community-of-interest (COI) for migrating from on prem to multi-cloud, supporting multi-tenant environments, and performing executive level briefings.
This role requires support in the form of a group level security and architecture team.

Primary Responsibilities

  • This program consists of products which protect sensitive co-mingled data.

  • You will be required to give support in the form of a group level security and architecture team that will assist with the research, design, development, accreditation, and maintenance of complex systems that span all network fabrics.

  • The ideal candidate should be a technical expert who has experience working with and on systems and components that protect highly sensitive data.

  • The Team is part of a working group that deals with extremely sensitive data.

  • The Team tracks and optimizes cloud costs to include developing cost models for IC and DoW partners.

  • You and your team will support technical forums and review boards.

  • You will review proposed technical solutions and architectures and provide findings.

  • Researching and providing whitepapers on potential solutions will be required to meet technical needs.

  • The Team will be familiar with Cloud Service Provider offerings and evaluate them for use with highly sensitive data.

  • The Team will have expertise on encryption techniques and products, and articulate the best option for a problem set.

  • The Team will be the focal point for cyber security vulnerabilities.

  • The Team will have an in depth technical understanding of the programs tools and assist external partners with adoption and use.

Basic Qualifications

  • Must have an active TS/SCI with Poly to be considered.
  • Must have a Bachelor's degree and 18 years of experience OR a Masters and at least 15 years of experience
  • Must have experience designing, developing, or maintaining systems that process, store, or protect highly sensitive data.
  • Experience supporting enterprise systems operating across multiple network fabrics and security domains.
  • Experience with major Cloud Service Providers, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  • Experience optimizing cloud-hosted environments for cost efficiency, scalability, and performance.
  • Experience supporting globally distributed systems and enterprise-scale deployments.
  • Experience designing and implementing hybrid cloud architectures.
  • Experience designing, maintaining, or modernizing on-premises infrastructure and architectures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present technical concepts to executive audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Services of Common Concern (SoCC) programs.
  • Experience establishing, standardizing, and improving DevOps processes and practices.
  • Familiarity with Sponsor-provided tools, platforms, and enterprise services.
  • Experience supporting Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) programs.
  • Experience with Configuration Management Database (CMDB) processes, governance, and data management practices.
  • Experience supporting cloud migration and modernization initiatives within secure or classified environments.

Preferred Certifications

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional)
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Certifications
  • Other relevant cloud, cybersecurity, or enterprise architecture certifications

Pay Range:

Pay Range $154,050.00 - $278,475.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
