In this role, you'll:

Join the Operational Technology (OT) section and work closely with the Transport Management Centre (TMC) Delivery Team to deliver technology solutions that support the operation of NSW's road network and critical transport services.

This is an exciting opportunity to apply your systems analysis expertise in a complex Operational Technology environment, working across a diverse systems and technology initiatives that enable safe and efficient transport operations across NSW.

You will gain exposure to a broad range of technologies, stakeholders, and business domains, while continuing to develop your technical and analytical skills in a supportive environment that values work-life balance and wellbeing.

You will:

  • Analyse and document business, operational and technical requirements for Operational Technology solutions.
  • Develop requirements, process maps, functional specifications, data flows and interface documentation.
  • Assess system integrations, APIs, interfaces and technical impacts across multiple platforms.
  • Support solution design, testing and implementation activities to ensure successful delivery outcomes.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders, architects, developers and vendors to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.
  • Identify technical risks, cyber security considerations and operational impacts throughout the delivery lifecycle.

About you

You are an experienced Systems Analyst or Technical Business Analyst with a strong background in requirements analysis, systems integration and technology delivery.


You can confidently engage with both business and technical stakeholders and have experience translating complex operational needs into detailed technical requirements and solution specifications.

You will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in Systems Analysis or Technical Business Analysis roles.
  • Experience producing requirements, specifications, process flows, data models and test artefacts across the full solution delivery lifecycle.
  • Strong understanding of system integrations, interfaces, APIs, data flows and solution design principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess technical impacts and identify solution options.
  • Experience working with Agile and/or Waterfall delivery methodologies.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Highly regarded:

  • Experience working in Operational Technology (OT), Transport Systems, Traffic Management Centre (TMC), critical infrastructure, telecommunications, or other 24/7 operational environments.
  • Experience working within large, complex organisations with multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Knowledge of cyber security, technology governance, and operational support models.
