Location: Austin, TX 78701
Work Type: Hybrid (Local Candidates Only)
Duration: 06/15/2026 – 08/31/2026 (3 months, potential extension)
Pay Rate: $80–$90/hour

We are seeking an experienced Systems Analyst 3 to support data automation and system enhancement initiatives. This role requires a senior-level professional with strong analytical and technical expertise, particularly in Python development and Snowflake data environments The ideal candidate will work closely with business units to analyze requirements, design solutions, and implement automated data exchange and processing systems.

This position is hybrid, requiring onsite work in Austin, TX (Tuesdays, Thursday, Friday) with remote work on Mondays and Wednesdays. Only local candidates currently residing in Texas will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business objectives and identify technology solutions to meet organizational needs
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost/benefit analyses for system enhancements
• Gather and document detailed user requirements, system specifications, and workflows
• Design and develop automated data processing solutions using Python
• Build and optimize data exchange processes with external partners
• Develop, implement, and maintain solutions within the Snowflake data platform
• Create and manage Snowpipe pipelines, UDFs (User Defined Functions), and data workflows
• Evaluate existing system capabilities and recommend improvements or modifications
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define input/output data structures and reporting needs
• Support scheduling, performance tuning, and system implementation efforts
• Work independently to complete complex assignments with minimal supervision

Minimum Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in systems analysis or software development
• Strong expertise in Python development
• Proven ability to design and implement complex technical solutions
• Experience performing business analysis, requirements gathering, and system evaluations
• Ability to work independently with a high degree of creativity and problem-solving

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing automated data exchange solutions with external partners (4+ years preferred)
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake database development (2+ years preferred)
• Experience building solutions using Snowpipe
• Experience creating User Defined Functions (UDFs) in Snowflake
• Experience developing custom user interfaces within Snowflake ecosystems

Work Environment & Requirements

• Standard business hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Hybrid schedule:
  • Remote: Mondays & Wednesdays
  • Onsite: Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays
• Primary work location: Austin, TX
• Must be a local candidate currently residing in Texas
• Occasional work outside normal hours (evenings/weekends) may be required with prior approval
• All travel and related expenses are the responsibility of the contractor/vendor
