
Systems Administrator & Staff Specialist
The Systems Administrator & Staff Specialist ensures the stability, scalability, and security of enterprise infrastructure by managing virtualization, storage, and backup environments. This role focuses on proactive monitoring, capacity planning, and disaster recovery to support business continuity and strategic initiatives.
What You'll Do
Virtual Environment Management
· Monitor virtual infrastructure for performance and reliability issues.
· Apply updates and patches to maintain security and compliance.
· Forecast future capacity needs and provide recommendations to management.
· Support enterprise projects requiring virtualization resources.
· Plan and implement disaster recovery strategies for virtual environments.
Storage Environment Management
· Monitor storage systems for failures and performance issues.
· Apply updates and security enhancements to maintain integrity.
· Assess future storage requirements and recommend scalable solutions.
· Support enterprise projects requiring storage resources.
· Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for storage systems.
Backup and Restore Management
· Oversee backup and restore processes to ensure data integrity.
· Apply updates and maintain compliance with security standards.
· Evaluate backup capacity and recommend improvements.
· Support enterprise projects requiring backup and restore capabilities.
Security Responsibility AgFirst employees are required to be both knowledgeable of and consistently compliant with, all policies and procedures regarding security. These include but are not limited to, the management of sensitive documents, protecting workspaces, monitoring visitors, safeguarding passwords, and the prudent and secure utilization of bank e-mail and social media systems. Risk Management Responsibility AgFirst employees are responsible for safeguarding the organization from potential risks, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and promoting a culture of integrity and accountability in their respective areas. This includes, but is not limited to, executing risk/control procedures daily, identifying potential risks and reporting them via the Self-Identified Risk Portal (SIRP), collaborating with control owners, and maintaining accurate audit/assessment evidence. Whether or not your specific role directly involves risk management activities, understanding and adhering to these principles is essential to the overall integrity and outcomes of AgFirst.
