Our client is a growing Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) organization operating across the United States. The company leverages enterprise-level technology, cloud collaboration tools, virtualization platforms, and advanced infrastructure to support its engineering and construction teams.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a Systems Administrator to support and maintain its IT infrastructure across multiple office locations and remote environments. This role is responsible for managing Microsoft 365 environments, Windows Server infrastructure, virtualization platforms, networking/security systems, and end-user technical support.

Key responsibilities include:

• 
  Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra ID, Intune, and MFA
• 
  Manage Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP, VMware/vSphere, Nutanix, and virtual machines
• 
  Configure and support Fortinet/FortiGate firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, wireless networking, and security policies
• 
  Troubleshoot desktop/laptop hardware, Windows 10/11 systems, mobile devices, printers, and VPN connectivity
• 
  Support AEC software platforms including AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, ETABS, Trimble, and Adobe Creative Cloud
• 
  Maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity systems
• 
  Support onboarding/offboarding, hardware deployments, asset management, and software licensing
• 
  Assist with infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations, cybersecurity initiatives, and system implementations

This role requires a proactive, hands-on IT professional with strong technical troubleshooting and customer support skills.

Requirements

Qualifications

• 
  3+ years of Systems Administration, Systems Engineering, or IT Infrastructure experience
• 
  Strong experience with:
  • 
    Microsoft 365 Administration
  • 
    Windows Server
  • 
    Active Directory
  • 
    VMware/vSphere
  • 
    Virtualization and storage technologies
  • 
    Fortinet/FortiGate products
• 
  Experience supporting cloud, server, and desktop environments
• 
  Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills
• 
  Ability to manage multiple priorities independently

Preferred Experience

• 
  AEC industry experience
• 
  Experience supporting engineering/design software environments
• 
  Experience with Veeam backup solutions
• 
  Microsoft and/or VMware certifications
• 
  Firewall administration experience or certifications
• 
  SharePoint and Teams administration experience
