The Role

onsemi India is seeking a Pre‑Silicon System Validation Engineer for FPGA‑based validation of mixed-signal compute products. This role, based in Bangalore, involves defining requirements, developing emulation platforms based on the SoC RTL and validating product functionality through hands‑on hardware, software, and system‑level testing.

What You’ll Do

• Play a role in defining the prototyping / emulation approach for a series of products
• Map the design to relevant prototyping / emulation platforms, and validate the design pre-silicon
• Develop Verilog models to emulate analog functions
• Support ongoing board‑level validation activities.
• Use Python and C/C++ for simulation and data analysis. .
• B.Tech / M.Tech in Electrical Engineering or related technical field
• At least 8 years of strong technical experience pre-silicon prototyping / emulation, with awareness of relevant application areas
• Strong expertise in FPGA design flow (verification, synthesis, partitioning, P&R, timing closure) and/or emulation platforms
• Experience with Arm Development Studio
• Hands‑on experience with lab instruments (debuggers, oscilloscope, signal/spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, electronic loads, etc.).
• Knowledge of interface and communication protocols (SPI, I2C, I2S, Ethernet, etc.).
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve silicon, board, and software‑related issues.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills

• Understanding of signal processing components or processing systems
• Awareness in digital design practices and requirements
