SYSTEM TEST ENGINEER (F/M/D)

As part of the route control product development team, you are responsible for ensuring a high quality and secure Cloud platform for our next generation digital interlocking system. Together with our Tester, DevOps and Security experts you are shaping the Test Strategy, Design, Execution with automation-first leveraging state-of the-art cloud technologies and testing tools.

YOUR CHALLENGE

• Develop and execute detailed test cases, and test scripts based on system requirements and design specifications.
• Reporting of found bugs in a ticket system and performing first level analysis.
• Develop and maintain testing documentation, including test specifications and test reports.
• Test automation in a test automation tool.
• Collaboration with other teams (development, data preparation)

YOUR PROFILE

• Technical education, preferably a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience
• Experience in industrial sectors such as automotive, telecommunications, or process control. Knowledge of safety-critical systems, especially railway signaling systems, is considered an advantage
• Ability to work with virtual machines and cloud-based test environments to support system integration, verification, and testing activities
• Experience with test automation frameworks
• Experience in AI-based tools to support work tasks (Copilot)
• Basic programming skills (e.g., Python, Java)
• Linux knowledge and basic bash scripting skills.
• Enthusiasm for working in an agile team environment
• Good knowledge of testing processes, methodologies, and best practices
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methods
• Ability and willingness to work in a laboratory environment when required
• ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level certification is considered an advantage
• Fluent in English and a good command of German
