You’re someone who wants to create outcomes that have a real impact on the people of NSW.
Your innovative mindset is key to creating solutions to complex problems. Our systems drive our organisational success and underpin every journey our customers take. This is your opportunity to be part of an expert team who build and refine seamless technology experiences.
In this role, you'll:
Work as part of a platform team responsible for keeping Operational Technology systems secure, stable and performing as expected. Your focus will be on ensuring platform services and integrations meet security, governance and operational standards while still being practical and usable.
You’ll monitor system health, identify risks and vulnerabilities, and work with teams to design secure solutions that support day‑to‑day operations. Supporting upgrades, improvements and incident response will also be part of your role, helping platforms evolve safely over time.
Just as importantly, you’ll work across technical and non‑technical teams, explaining risks, controls and decisions in a way that makes sense to people working in real operational environments.

About you
You bring experience working with platform or infrastructure teams and understand how security needs to be built into systems and integrations from the start.
You have a good level of cloud experience and are comfortable working across hybrid or complex environments. Security, risk and reliability matter to you, but so does usability and operational reality. One of your key strengths is communication—you’re able to explain complex technical concepts in plain English and work confidently with a wide range of stakeholders across OT.
You’re collaborative, thoughtful in your approach and able to balance security requirements with practical delivery.
With relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience, you’re motivated by building secure platforms that genuinely support the people who rely on them every day.

As part of enabling a strong national collaborative network, ANSTO is connected with all Australian and New Zealand universities through the Australian Institute of Nuclear Science and Engineering (AINSE), providing researchers access to Australia’s nuclear science, technology and engineering expertise and landmark infrastructure.
On average, ANSTO accommodates over 1800 visiting researchers from other Australian and international research organisations each year.
